Sony's E3 conference had a treat in store for Star Wars and LEGO fans alike. The company unveiled a new trailer for its LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens game, recreating some of the film's most memorable sequences with a touch of that classic LEGO silliness. This extended gameplay trailer sees the film's original voice cast return to voice their minifigure aliases, including Harrison Ford, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, and Adam Driver; recreating moments such as Rey and Finn's escape from Jakku, the rathtar escape in the Millenium Falcon, Poe Dameron's attack on the Starkiller base, and the climactic battle between Rey and Kylo Ren. What's so great about the LEGO games is their ability to play around with some of the most iconic film characters around, and it's particularly fun to see Kylo Ren going into full, bedroom door-slamming teenager mode. The game will also feature exclusive playable content that bridges the story gap between Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens." The demo is now available exclusively to PS4 players, as a free download from the Playstation Store.The LEGO Star Wars: The Resistance Rises animated television series aired on the Disney XD channel between mid-February and early May this year with five episodes. The series is now over, so I thought to post them here in case you missed out. The story of these episodes takes place prior to the First Order’s attack on Jakku in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens film, and tells never-before-told stories about Kylo Ren, Han Solo, Finn, Rey, BB-8, Maz Kanata and more. In the far reaches of the Outer Rim, with the battle for the fate of the Galaxy just beginning, the First Order demonstrates its awesome might at the dreaded Starkiller Base…” LEGO videos are always enjoyable because of the great animation and funny humor. LEGO Star Wars: The Resistance Rises, is no exception. My only complaint is that the episodes were too short. But remember that LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures is coming soon!
