The Best Comic Book Movie News From Around The Web New details seem to have surfaced surrounding the upcoming LEGO sets for Spider-Man: Homecoming. In a post on Instagram, user delta.customs revealed that there will be two sets, as part of the summer season of LEGO releases. You can check out his post here below: To finish all of my leaks for the summer sets! EDIT: There are only TWO Spider-Man Homecoming sets! A photo posted by Ayyyyyyeeeeeeee lmao (@delta.customs) on Nov 25, 2016 at 7:53am PST Both sets sounds very interesting. What stood out to us was that in Set #2, Iron Man was listed as a character. Does this indicate that we will see Tony suit up in the film? In addition, in Set #1, the bank robbers that Spidey is trying to stop have, “Avengers in their names”. What this exactly means, we’re not sure. We do however know that Peter Parker may be paying a visit to Avengers HQ, so perhaps this means we might be seeing a training exercise take place?

It is important to note that LEGO sets aren’t exactly the best way to get plot details on a movie. A good example is the now infamous Iron Man 3 LEGO set, which featured the “Final Battle” with the classic looking Mandarin on a boat. However, some LEGO sets have revealed characters and key plot events before, such as the Airport Battle set for Civil War which was leaked and revealed that Giant-Man would be in the movie. Time will only tell if these rumored LEGO sets are real, or truly show us anything that will happen in the movie. What do you guys think about these potential LEGO sets for Spider-Man: Homecoming? This set contains 217 pieces and retails for $19.99. The contents of the box include two numbered bags, the instruction booklet, a small sticker sheet, and a comic. There are three minifigures in the set, two of which is new and they are Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, and the Hobgoblin. Spider-Man is the same minifigure that we’ve gotten quite a few times before. Even though we’ve probably have a couple of him already, it’s still a good minifigure with some good detailed printing although it might be time to update it a little especially for the legs. Spider-Man does have a new accessory with a molded web piece that is attached to the more frequently used trans-clear plate with shaft piece. He also comes with the Super-Jumper piece but we know what happens with those. Next up is probably the main reason why people are picking up this set and that is the Ghost Rider minifigure. We first saw him in some form in the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Video Game and fans have been wanting an official Ghost Rider minifigure for a long time.

We never thought that one would actually be coming out but here he is! Ghost Rider has his iconic leather jacket printing for the torso which also shows some orange flames through the holes. There’s also some printing of the chains that run across the chest and around the back of the torso as well. The legs have no printing but I guess that’s okay considering they are just leather pants. The head piece is pretty interesting as it has a white skull head but attached to it are some trans-orange flames. I know that some fans would have preferred that they were two separate pieces but for me, I’m okay with it. Ghost Rider’s acessory is, of course, his Hellfire Chain which your standard chain piece but in a trans-orange color. The last minifigure in the set is the Hobgoblin. Although he isn’t as big as Spider-Man’s other villains, he did have a big impact in the comics especially his first appearance in 1983. Even so, it’s awesome that we’re getting a new villain to add to our collection of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes minifigures.

The torso is mostly orange with some dark blue for the the sleeves. On the front of the torso, there’s printing of the straps for his pouch and the back has printing of the pouch it self. The legs are blue with some orange for the boots. Hobgoblin does have a double-sided head with an angry look on one side and a maniacal laughing expression on the other. The hood also comes in bright orange for the first time. Hobgoblin also comes with a tattered orange cape along with his pumpkin bomb accessory. The first part of the build is the Goblin Glider. The color scheme is pretty much purple and gray and it looks good with Hobgoblin’s colors. The front of the glider looks the bat head with the two horns and and the slope piece. The bottom of the glider has a couple of flick-fire missiles. Hobgoblin is able to stand on top of the glider pretty comfortably on top. I’m surprised there isn’t a flame piece attached to the back engine as it does look kind of empty back there. The next part of the build is the little sidewalk area with a traffic light.

The traffic light only has lights going one way. There are also some street signs for Bleecker St. and Second Ave. which have been mentioned before in Marvel Comics. Notice that the sticker for Bleecker St. is spelled wrong with Bleeker St. instead. Adjacent to the traffic light are a couple of newpaper stands with the red one for the Daily Bugle and the blue for Front Line which again are newpapers that have been in Marvel Comics. The Daily Bugle is more well known and was ran by J. Jonah Jameson while Front Line was created during the Civil War storyline which in turn became the new Daily Bugle. Inside the stands are some 1×2 tiles with stickers of the newspapers of the respective newpapers. Finally there’s a trash can with some green stalks and bones. As a play feature, there are also some trans-orange dish and flame pieces to represent places that have been set on fire by the pumpkin bomb or the missiles. The last part of the build and the majority of the set is Ghost Rider’s Hell Cycle.

I must say that it looks amazing especially with the low profile. The flames throughout the motorcycle gives it an even more cooler look to it. The front of the Hell Cycle is attached using hinge pieces and the shield piece is used for the fairing to give it a sleek look. This area also has the motorcycle handles which are made from more horn pieces. Near the front wheels, there are flames attached to some red Technic pieces which looks off. If those pieces had to be used using existing parts, I would’ve preferred black Technic pieces instead. The back of the seat is also on hinges and the bow plate pieces give the Hell Cycle some nice angles. The back of the seat has some trans-orange pieces to show off more of the fiery look. The back of the Hell Cycle has more flames as well as more of the unsightly standard red colored parts which sticks out. Again, I would have substituted black pieces instead to make the area not stand out too much. The summer 2016 wave of LEGO Super Heroes sets look to be one of the more popular waves in recent history and the Marvel Spider-Man: Ghost Rider Team-up (76058) isn’t an exception.
