Time for another LEGO® “gear” set review! LEGO® has released several picture frames in the past; the list can be seen on Brickset. The last addition to this small sub-theme is not related to any specific series, and this is what I found to be the selling point for me. I was keen to get my hands on this range as there are some pretty cool figures and individual pieces amongst them, very handy for MOC’s or customizing your own minifigs.Simpsons fans rejoice - LEGO just announced that a new Simpsons set will be released this year! Coming to the United States and the United Kingdom, the set will include minifigures and a replica of the family’s famous cartoon house. The coveted set will also be accompanied by a LEGO themed episode that will air in May, 2014. Television’s longest running cartoon has partnered with one of the world’s most popular toys.

The exciting Simpsons House set will come with 2,523 Simpsons-related LEGO bricks. The kit will include everything needed to build the house at 742 Evergreen Terrace, as well as the classic pink family car, a skate ramp, grill and other accessories. Hinged pieces will open to reveal the familiar interior outfitted with workable rooms, such as bedrooms for Lisa, Bart, Maggie and Homer and Marge, the living room and an adjacent garage. The famous sofa and kitchen are detailed just like the television series. The 2,523 piece kit will also include main character minifigures, including a LEGO representation of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie and next door neighbor, Ned Flanders. The Simpsons LEGO set, which just includes 742 Evergreen Terrace, is slated to come out sometime this year. Whether LEGO has decided to give the toy brick treatment to other Springfield landmarks like Moe’s Tavern or the Power Plant remains to be seen.
