She requested that to be the theme of her Birthday Party and I gladly obliged! The show is fun and playful, full of colours, not so much dark and black as pirate movies usually are. I kept this in mind when designing the party and so I tried to create a dessert table that would be fun for the kids. The treats included chocolate tikis, Izzy’s pixie dust pouches (french crepes filled with strawberries), Golden Doublons cupcakes, Treasure chocolate bars, Hook’s hooks cake pops and a treasure map birthday cake. The background for the table was a white and blue striped sail, like the ship Bucky in the cartoon. I also made the cute little pirate banner spelling Chloe. The table on which the children had lunch was made to look like the pirates hideout, covered in treasures and under a ceiling of fishing nets full of jewels, treasures and buntings. For games the children played at Knock the pirates over, Pin the pixie dust on Izzy and a treasure dig where they had to find hidden golden doublons.
They could then head to the shop to purchase pirate dress up items, sweets and treasure maps…. The shop was such a hit !!! They were counting their money to try and buy as much as they could, very sweet ! The Harkaway was a 17th century built frigate, in look very similar to galleon, but much faster. It is unknown how Jolly Roger obtained her, though it is possible that the ship was commandeered by Jolly Roger from the French or the Spanish and turned into his flagship.
The ship's crew was composed of Jolly Roger's victims turned into undead skeletons similar to Hector Barbossa's cursed crew. When the pirate escapes from the Rambleshack jail, the flagship appears and captured Bo Beck's ship the Grim Reaper, which was fleeing the island while Jolly Roger turned Bo Beck into a skeleton. As the player is thrown into the water, the Harkaway fired Firebrand rounds at the Reaper, knocking down the masts of the ship and then sinking the vessel. When Jolly Roger's forces attack Port Royal, Tortuga or Padres Del Fuego, the Harkaway arrived first under a dark rolling cloud. The ghostly ship pulled up to the dock to let Jolly's crew attack. However, his minions appear to go over the side and walk their way to shore. Although the ship's sails are ragged and nonfunctional, the ship moves rather fast, similar to the Black Pearl when it was under the curse of Cortés. The ship has the ability to teleport to other places, emerging from supernatural fog.
It is unknown if Jolly Roger uses his powers to teleport it or if its just the ships nature. The Harkaway can fire Firebrand broadside, it is assumable it also fires Fury and Thunderbolt cannonballs. Players can use Sloth’s Super Strength to smash through walls or play as Chunk and use his infamous Truffle Shuffle. The rebuildable One-Eyed Willy’s Pirate Ship will sail on water and can also be built into the Fanged Fortune and the Inferno Cannon; while the rebuildable Skeleton Organ has Sonar Smash abilities and can also be built into the Skeleton Jukebox and Skele-Turkey for added game play capabilities. Sloth provides access to a new The Goonies Battle Arena, and also the Adventure World where players can explore Mikey’s House, Inferno Cove and the Goon Docks. Once the level is complete, players will be able to replay through the game and other levels as any of the seven other Goonies characters to solve additional puzzles and access more collectibles in their journey through the LEGO multiverse.
