With a rich history and dozens of fine restaurants, Pyrmont is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. For one thing, Pyrmont is where you’ll find entertainment mammoth The Star, home to the second-largest casino in Australia, plus award-winning restaurants and bars, luxury apartments and hotel rooms, as well as the Sydney Lyric Theatre. The Sydney Lyric is a leading venue for Sydney shows and performances, with many of the top international musicals showing there.

Pyrmont plays host to several important Sydney events throughout the year, from business forums to fishing festivals. The Pyrmont Wine, Food and Art Festival occurs in May and showcases the very best of what Pyrmont and the Mudgee region have to offer. Pyrmont also contains some of the most popular viewpoints from which to watch Sydney’s spectacular New Year’s Eve fireworks display; you can see both the family-friendly 9pm fireworks and the stunning midnight fireworks.Sorry, it seems you were trying to access a page that doesn't exist. Guests saw a flotilla of harbour watercraft including Sydney to Hobart maxi yachts, a tug boat, P&O cruise ship and the Endeavour tall ship, as well as a cross section through the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall. Visitors marvelled at the giant model of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, made from over 130,000 LEGO bricks, and complete with traffic, pedestrians, criss-crossing commuter trains and the Harbour Tunnel underneath. Suspended above the exhibition was a trio of exploding LEGO fireworks. Visitors had fun exploring the intricate detail within Ryan’s LEGO creations; discovering minifigs at the opera, on a cruise, having fun at Luna Park and climbing the harbour bridge.
