It includes eight sets so far, all based on a container-carrying vehicle. It is based upon the real world company, Maersk, which was established in 1904, and is headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark. The first Maersk set was released in 1974. It was a blue mini-scale container ship, which, because of its small size, did not include any minifigures. Since then, three trucks, three more ships, and a train have been made, with the newest set being a ship, 10241 Maersk Line Triple-E, which is released on January 1 2014.

All of the sets have included light grey cargo containers. All three of the trucks have included a minifigure, although they varied greatly in their appearance. The train includes three minifigures, all of which have identical uniforms. The following minifigures were introduced in this theme: Maersk Train Workman OneMaersk Train Workman TwoMaersk Train Workman ThreeContainer Lorry Pilot OneContainer Lorry Pilot TwoContainer Truck Driver(186) LEGO Maersk Container Ship. Released in 2011 (set # 10155).This set has 990 pieces with no minifigures. The ship itself is 27" long and comes with a ton of shipping containers. The most unique feature of any Maersk set is of course the blue bricks, which are explicitly and exclusively made for Maersk sets. The first Maersk Line vessel sailed in 1904. The fleet now comprises over 600 vessels. The gray containers hold dry goods and the white containers hold chilled/frozen cargo. 2010 Halloween SeriesThese sold individually in the United States, but In Germany, you could actually purchase all three sets together.
