The Mini-Balrog is a character who appears in LEGO The Lord of the Rings: The Video Game. The Balrog was an ancient fiery creature that was one of Morgoth's best soldiers. He was a Maia that had turned evil and decided to follow Morgoth. He was awoken by the Dwarves when they mined too deep under Middle-earth, and then was awoken again when the Fellowship of the Ring entered the Mines of Moria many years later. It chased them towards the bridge of Khazad-Dum, a narrow walkway over an extremely deep chasm. The Fellowship reached the other side except Gandalf the Grey, who stood his ground against the Balrog in order to buy the others time.

Gandalf smashed the bridge with his staff and the Balrog fell into the chasm, but Gandalf's ankle was caught on its fiery whip. As a result they both fell, but they both continued fighting and Gandalf eventually killed the Balrog, throwing its corpse off the mountain. With all his life force used up, Gandalf died, but was sent back to Middle-earth as Gandalf the White.Master of Lake-town | Mirkwood Elf Chief | Mirkwood Elf Guard | Radagast the Brown | Mouth of Sauron | Necromancer of Dol Guldur | King of the Dead | Soldier of the Dead | Video Game only others:King of Men | Lake-town Man (Archer) | Video Game only Hobbits: Bandobras ˝Bullroarer˝ Took | Video Game only Dwarves: Armoured Dwarf Guard | Jimli the Blacksmith | Video Game only Elves:Círdan the Shipwright | Video Game only Dark Forces:Oliphaunt Mahûd Leader | Video Game only Creatures:The Watcher in the Water | - 2 years 10 months ago Welcome to the Walkthrough for the LEGO The Lord of the Rings chapter Taming Gollum.

This page contains a full walkthrough in addition to locations for Minikits and Collectibles. He escaped from the dungeons of Barad-dur!" When beginning the stage as Gandalf, head up the path until you reach some frozen Lego blocks. Liberate them from the ice and then use Gandalf's staff to float each one into place, creating a staircase to the next higher ledge.   Further up the path, rebuild the broken Lego stairs into a more climbable version of their former selves and ascend the spiral staircase to reach the summit of the peak where you will face the Balrog.   Jump to avoid the Balrog's whip and sword attacks and eventually lightning will begin striking the ground. Run over to the point the game indicates and press the button prompt to load Gandalf's sword with electrical power, then shoot the lightning at one of the Lego-block weaknesses on the infernal creature. Repeat several times until the Balrog goes down.   After the fight with the Balrog, you'll be thrust back into the control of the hobbits.

Gollum raises a wall with a fish bucket on top which you must fill with six of his favorite treats to lower. Grab the first fish on the ground next to the raised rock wall, adding it to Frodo's already fishy inventory.Next, use Sam's rope to climb to the first ledge on the right, then bash the plants there and rebuild them into a ladder where you can grab the second fish.   Further along, use Frodo's phial to light up the dark cave, then switch to Sam and dig up the third fish. Next, use Sam's cultivation skills to grow a giant purple flower, then push the pillar down the checkered path, creating a means of jumping to the next area.   Break the rocks immediately after jumping up to the next ledge to find a bunch of firewood. Down from there, bash some plants to gather the second bunch, and finally, cut through the Lego vines and plants to the right to find the third. Next, dig up the Lego soil patch with Sam, place all of the firewood on the pedestal and light the Campfire to burn the vines away.

Now, jump up and shimmy to the right to grab fish number four.   In the next area, dig up the rope hook and build it onto the wall, then climb it. Grow the plant on that ledge, switch to Frodo and jump up the new plant before entering the Small Character Hatch. Shimmy over the hand-holds and light up the cave to find the last fish.   Push the boulder along the checkered path and off the ledge, then jump down to the starting area and throw your six fish into the basket to lower the rock wall.   Gollum will attack the hobbits by throwing fish skeletons at them from a wall in the background. Run forward and grab the fish near the jetty and throw it to the creature. When Gollum comes down to eat his fish, use Sam's rope to tie him up. AssemblyCombine 3 components to create a Fishing Pole.1. Look on the left for a rope hook and use Sam to climb up to the ledge above and bash the bush there to acquire a Stick.2. Dig in the Lego Soil patch nearer to Gollum and rebuild the rope hook that you uncover, then pull down the boulder above to find a Hook.3.

Use Frodo's phial to light up the cave under Gollum and wreck the plants there to find a Rope.    Use the Fishing Pole to go fishing on the jetty, then use the fish to pelt Gollum, and then attempt to tie him up with Sam's rope. Repeat this once more to finish the level. You will need the Berserker to get 100% on this level. LEGO The Lord of the Rings Collectables Walkthrough Part 7 - Taming Gollum When you reach the frozen Lego blocks with Gandalf, arrange them on the platform in the order shown on the sign to make Minikit #1 appear. Immediately after building the Lego stairs with Gandalf, blow up the Silver bricks and crawl through the Small Character Hatch to reach Minikit #2 below.   Further up the path, look for two arrow pegs in the wall and shoot arrows into them. Swing up the arrows and use Frodo or a wizard to light up the dark recess to grab the Mithril Carrot Bow Blacksmith Design.   When you reach the spiral staircase, jump down to the left and pull the Strong Character handle on the door to uncover a snowman.

Knock it to pieces, then pick up the Snowman Hood Treasure.   While climbing up the spiral staricase toward the fight with the Balrog, walk over on the left side and smash the Morgul door, then grow the plant there with a trowel. Jump up the plant to grab Minikit #3.    Four-Part Minikit (Second Area)While in the second area where you find the fish for Gollum, look for four large skeletons. Destroy all four to obtain Minikit #4.1. To the immediate right of the blocked doorway.2. Between the fish on the cliff and the fish in the dark cave.3. Beside the first purple flower.4. Beside the second purple flower.      Two-Part Minikit (Second Area)Shoot the targets at the centers of the two purple flowers you had to build to progress. Destroy both and Minikit #5 will be yours. About halfway through the second area, look for a boulder with a rope hook on it. Pull the hook to find Minikit #6.   Right of the first purple flower, break through the Morgul gate, then light up the dark cave to find Minikit #7.

After jumping up to the area after moving the pillar and growing the first purple flower, look for a Cracked Lego Tile at the bottom of the screen. Break it open with Gimli to uncover the Rock Hat Treasure.   Further along the level, throw Gimli into the Cracked Lego Tile on the wall to find Minikit #8 in a small cave.   In the last area, while fighting Gollum, smash all of the Lego debris at the back of the area. This will uncover three pieces of Minikit #9 which you will have to rebuild to collect.   Hidden Area - Gollum's GauntletTake Frodo into the cave underneath Gollum, then blow up the Silver blocks with the Berserker and enter the tunnel beyond.Inside the cavern, climb up the wall with Gollum and rotate the left paddle to move the first piece in the path. This will allow Gollum to grab the crank handle. Now, climb further along, avoiding the arrows that shoot from the wall, and rotate the second tile on the wall with the right paddle so Gollum can reach the right-most platform.
