The Simpsons Lego Kwik-E-Mart is the only place to buy Lego Squishees3/12/15 10:40am As a follow-up to the Lego Simpsons house, one of the most impressive sets the company has ever released, Lego is giving fans of the animated series another one of Springfield's most iconic backdrops: an astonishingly detailed miniature version of Apu's Kwik-E-Mart. Available come may for $200, the 2,179-piece Kwik-E-Mart set includes a tiny Apu Nahasapeemapetilon minifig, police chief Wiggum, Homer, Marge, Bart, and even Snake who's ready to hold up the convenience store again and again. The set opens up to reveal the inside of the Kwik-E-Mart complete with a Squishee machine, shelves stocked with products, magazines, and comic books appearing in the TV show, but we haven't spotted Apu's signature scum bucket with fly just yet. It was rumored to be the LEGO The Simpsons Kwik-E-Mart which we first talked about back in October. I now have information that the set number is indeed correct but the release date is different. A reader by the name of Steve has said that LEGO VIP members will be able to purchase the Kwik-E-Mart early on April 15-30 which means that it will be available to the general public on May 1st. There are no details other than that but at least we know that we can get our hands on it a few months earlier than what was reported a few days ago. Stay tuned as we get closer to the release date with information about piece count, pricing, and images of the LEGO The Simpsons Kwik-E-Mart (71016). Inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow.
