What an amazing experience, from the frontline staff all the way to the bathrooms! I was sceptical at first - I am a lady so vehicles are not on my top 10 to see... however... This collection, the displays, the overall cleanliness, the awesome friendly and helpful staff - I could easily spend another few hours here and still want... This is an amazing collection of cars and trucks. Even my wife was drawn into the "story" A superb collection of very early Fords prior to and including the model T. and trucks and trucks and trucks. the site is huge allow at least half a day. This really shouldnt be missed and there is even a display from wearable... Best collection of trucks I've ever seen! Mainly trucks from the UK and Europe but plenty from the US too. I brought my kindle along because I thought I would sit in the café and have a a read but it looked reasonably interesting and was only $25. Well I found it so interesting. We spent hours in there. I loved the little stories with each truck.
I also enjoyed reading the history of the family. We will come back... I thought an hour or so would be enough but no we were there for 4 and still not enough. Even the wife stayed the whole time and she thought she would stay in the cafe and read her book. Great collection of vehicles. Nice wee notes to read on them. I remember seeing many of those... At $22 for seniors I wondered if I should sit in the car and let my husband go in. The receptionist said she has not had a disappointed woman in the museum yet so I went. We both spent two solid hours engrossed. I went up to the mezzanine and viewed the amazing Southland wearable arts, and videos of their... Very new facility with hundreds of trucks and cars for everyone! Plan to spend at least 2 hours there. Take in lunch as well at the fabulous restaurant onsite. I learned some interesting things on our visit. Did you know that REO Speed Wagon was not just a big hair 80s band? Yeah, a real manufacturer of four wheel vehicles!...
I thought $25 to go into a car museum was a bit steep, however after going inside there were so many different display rooms with hundreds of cars, trucks, buses + fuel pumps, old vehicle paraphernalia --- $25 wasn't actually that bad. It is well set out & will keep you entertained for a few hours. Brought back some old... Great collection of old vehicles, mainly old trucks, that have been superbly restored. A credit to Bill and the team who are continuing the great work he started. Even my wife enjoyed the visit which took a little over 2 hours. As a female, spending my day looking at vehicles wasn't exactly something I wanted to do on my day off. Thankfully, my want to spend a day with Dad found me purchasing a couple of tickets on a rainy Saturday afternoon. At first it was a little like a male being dragged around a shopping mall, however my attitude was... It is great to hear you had an enjoyable experience here at Transport World. We often have woman come through with very low expectations, however they have been wowed by the time they leave!
