I think most of us can agree that Star Wars: The Force Awakens was a success with the fans and the box office. The massive hype has moved on to other big blockbusters such as Deadpool, Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice and Captain America: Civil War at the moment, but let us not forget that the next Star Wars film, Star Wars: Rogue One, is being released in December. There will be a new Star Wars film every year and we should expect December to become the month where new Star Wars movies are being released. Quite frankly, I think this this could make Christmas an even better time of the year!Rogue One is the first ever anthology film or 'A Star Wars Story'. These are single films focusing on a certain character or time period along the Star Wars timeline. Rogue One will be focusing on the rebels who stole the plans for the Death Star. The movie will take place about one year before the original 1977 Star Wars: A New Hope. Rogue One Costumes at the Nuremberg Toy Fair A few days ago, we got to see a glimpse at the Rogue One costumes, such as displayed above, at the Nuremberg Toy Fair in Germany.

Now, at the fair, there is a promotional image advertising all of the new LEGO Star Wars sets, ranging from the Force Awakens, Rebels, Classic, and even Rogue One. See the image below and you will see that the new LEGO sets weren't the only things that were revealed: More #LEGO #StarWars Reveals from Nuremberg! #RogueOne & a Droid Tales-esque series titled The Freemaker Adventures. The image for Rogue One shows what appears to be the ship of bounty hunter Boba Fett: Slave 1, a modified prototype Firespray-31-class patrol and attack craft that was previously owned by his father, Jango Fett. This promotional picture might have just revealed that the big baddy for Rogue One is Boba Fett. Boba Fett was rumored to have his own anthology film after Rogue One and the one with young Han Solo. If so, it looks like they are really focusing on expanding upon the mystery of Boba Fett. It makes sense for him to be the villain of Rogue One as he would be hired by Vader to hunt down the rebels.

It could be him and his team of bounty hunters, maybe including Bossk, IG-88, Dengar, and maybe even Cad Bane? Marjorie and Arnie cover Toy Fair live from the Javitz floor discussing new toys and collectibles from Kotobukiya, Diamond Select, Uncle Milton, and more! While Hasbro has held the biggest focus coming out of Toy Fair 2013, there were plenty of other companies presenting and revealing new Star Wars items for 2013.  On this episode of Star Wars Action News, Marjorie and Arnie report on all the rest, from Kotobukiya with their lines of statues and Bishoujos to Uncle Milton’s science-based Star Wars items, from Fantasy Flight Games with their Star Wars card, mini, and role-playing games to Diamond Select with their bust banks.

Plus LEGO with a slew of new sets for all price ranges!  Hear it all in this week’s Star Wars Action News podcast! Download the Regular Version or Enhanced Version The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the addition of Jango Fett’s Slave I from the revamped Class II assortment of vehicles in the 2013 Yoda line look. PROS: This is a toy – plain and simple. It’s meant to cater to the young collector while offering a signature in-universe vehicle at an attractive pricepoint for parents and kids with an allowance. Slave I holds one figure/pilot well (Hasbro even took into consideration Jango’s jetpack when designing the cockpit) and the deco, while minimal is accurate in terms of color. It features manually pivoting wings (just like the super-sized “collector” version), cannons and a launching missile/projectile. I can totally appreciate what Hasbro has attempted here and it easily meets their goal of being a ship scaled down for smaller hands while maintaining the fun of a larger collector-target product.

If Hasbro can produce this type of product to pave the way for more collector-targeted releases, then I’m all for it. CONS: If you’re a stickler for accurate scale, realistic deco or a moderate number of features, there is obviously nothing for you here. Head to the toyguide for the full image gallery and to judge for yourself whether this set is worth adding to your collection. You can also weigh in with your impressions on the figures we add to our toyguide on facebook and in our forums. The current Yakfinities Customizing Challenge focuses on residents of Tatooine, and more entries have been rolling in each week. Check out the latest entries, or add your own to the mix by clicking here. Collect and create the most highly detailed LEGO® Star Wars™ X-wing Starfighter (10240) ever produced. Before I woo you towards a membership, be sure to like DASH on Facebook for your chance to win a Masters of the Universe Classics Ram Man Corey, your friendly neighborhood DASH guy here! I’ve survived Toy Fair and now that I’ve got a minute to spare, I wanted to swing by and talk about some of DASH’s best features in a little more detail. You probably think you’ve heard it all before, but I want you to hear it straight from my point of view as a collector first and DASH guy second.

I still think a DASH Collector’s Club membership might just be the best $25 you can spend on your collection. For the next month, Toys”R”Us is having a sale on all of their Vintage figures for just $5 each. Sale is valid in-store and online. Thanks to JediMoses for the tip. UPDATE: Movie Heroes & Clone Wars are also on sale for $4.99 and $5.49 respectively. It appears that most Target stores are slashing their clearance prices down to 70% 0ff – which means if you can score any 2012 TVC figures at this price, you’ll be paying about three bucks a figure.  So now is the time if you want to try and grab some cheap custom fodder, army builders, etc. Diorama guru OG Trilogy returns with yet another masterpiece, with a ton of great photos which you can check out by clicking here. Note:  Isn’t it a shame that Hasbro has continued to deny their customers any sort of diorama/playset such as the great set featured above?  Or something like this mockup?
