The only drawback is that this des res is made entirely out of Lego – and you’ll have to find somewhere to put it.Top Gear presenter James May has just built the world’s first full-size Lego house – including a working toilet, hot shower and a very uncomfortable bed – using 3.3million plastic bricks. Toy storeys: James May and 1,000 helpers built the 20ft-tall Lego house on a wine estate in Surrey Stripe me: A close up of the fully functional house, which was built using 3.3million differently coloured bricks About 1,000 volunteers built the 20ft-tall house in Denbies Wine Estate

May says Legoland reneged on a deal to take it to their theme park in Windsor, Berkshire, after deciding it would be too expensive to move. Meanwhile, miffed Legoland managers criticised May for building the house without their help.May said: ‘I’m very unhappy about it. I feel as if I’m having my arm twisted into saying “knock it down”. Blocked sink: The bathroom with a working taps and basin made from Lego Cosy: James in the bedroom - and you'll never guess what he made the bed, pillows and slippers from! Purrfect: The home even comes with its own cat ‘Legoland only told us on Thursday they were not going to take it. Block head: The TV presenter built the house for his forthcoming BBC show, James May Toy Stories 'Knocking it down is just wrong on every level. really lovely thing – it would break the hearts of the 1,000 people who

worked like dogs to build it.’ May believes that an art gallery, a children’s home or a wealthy private collector might be interested in the house.  entrepreneurs hoping to make money from it would face legal problems as Legoland has an exclusive licence to use the plastic bricks as a public Lego has also banned May from dismantling the structure and giving away the bricks, which the company donated for his forthcoming BBC show James May’s Toy Stories. ‘It would dilute Lego’s sales – we can only give them to charity,’ May said. May slept in the house on Friday night, on ‘the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in’ – when he also discovered the house was not waterproof. Martin Williams, marketing director of Legoland Windsor, said: ‘We’re disappointed we were not consulted as our model-makers could have advised on building a movable structure. ‘In our opinion, the only way to move the Lego house now is to cut into it, which would

compromise the structural integrity and present us with Plastic fantastic: James in the multi-coloured hallway Building blocks: James even used Lego to make kitchen utensils, including a toaster, whisk, bread bin and iron Daily Block: The home, which is unwanted by Legoland, also includes reading material 'We considered all the options but due to timings, logistics and planning permission, we have decided it would not be viable to move the structure to the park.’Earlier this year the TV presenter made his debut in the Chelsea Flower show with a garden made entirely out of plasticine. in Plasticine boasted palm trees, bushes, a vegetable patch, grapevine, lawn, rockery and pond and featured two and a half tonnes of plasticine in 24 different colours. The 46-year-old claimed his effort is the biggest and most complex plasticine model ever made. He produced the the garden as part of his BBC 2 series James May's Toy Stories, where he aimed to 'get kids out of their

bedrooms and away from their Playstations'. Bright idea: James stares through a multi-coloured window as light pours in the homeThere is seemingly no end to Lego’s creativity. Models, stop motion movies, amazing examples of advertising, beautiful art, and so much more. And now, even movie posters are being recreated with that unique-tongue-in-cheek style you can only get with Lego bricks and mini-figures. If you love movies and you love Lego, you will love these posters. And if you love music, you will these Lego album covers. The dramatic opening scenes of the hit James Bond film Casino Royale has been recreated - entirely out of Lego.Every single shot from James Bond's famous gun barrel pose to the brutal bathroom fight scene starring Daniel Craig has been perfectly replicated in the three minute 29 second clip. The video was produced by 26-year-old Lego enthusiast who runs the online community for 'everything Lego' called Bricktease. The opening scene: A car pulls up outside a building in Prague in the black and white clip - just like in the original Casino Royale film

Lego man: The MI6 officer head to office in the building lift - unaware James Bond is waiting for him Waiting game: The MI6 agent then spots James Bond played by Daniel Craig, pictured in Lego form, sitting in the office It took him three weeks in total to make the clip using stop motion animation to retell the story of the opening sequence, scene by scene, against the sound reel from the actual film. Just like in the movie, Bond is sitting in a chair in the dark waiting for a MI6 section chief he has been tasked with killing. It even includes the flashback to Bond's first kill - a gritty bathroom brawl ending with Bond's assailant drowned in a sink - before he kills his current target. And despite being made out of Lego, the clip - which is all in black and white just like the movie - retains the mystique of the original film., the creator of the Lego clip said: 'I started work on Casino Royale about three weeks ago. Confrontation: James Bond accuses the MI6 agent of leaking secret information for money in the clip which has identical camera angles to actual film

Attention is in the detail: The clip, which took three weeks to complete, even features James Bond's flash back of the first man he killed Lego art: The 26-year-old creator of the clip - who founded the website Bricktease - used stop motion animation to make the video 'I spend a fair bit of time going through the video and working out what scenes and camera angels there are, and plan my work to suit, so I don’t waste any time. 'I spent about two or three weeks actually filming, when I had a spare hour or two I would find a short scene or shot and do that.'I find that planning it all out really helps me work quickly and efficiently.'Asked how he made the clip, he added: 'Practice. If you see some of my very first videos, they are pretty amateur. Wobbly camera, dodgy movement of pieces etc… over the last few videos I have been trying to get as smooth as possible. And I still have a long way to go!'He added that he always strives to use Lego as much as possible - such as the clear bricks representing the water in the sink.

Graphic: Clear Lego bricks are even used to represent water as James Bond attempts to drown his assailant in the bathroom sink Set up: When the clip reverts back to the office, the MI6 agent attempts to shoot James Bond, but he has removed the bullets from his gun Now a 007: James Bond then shoots the agent before another quick flashback to the bathroom where he shoots his first ever a kill Iconic: The famous gun barrel fills the scene as the James Bond theme tune starts to play He continued: 'I have a personal preference that I want the videos to be as immersive as possible. So you don’t see anything that isn’t Lego unless you absolutely have to. 'It is really hard to get lips moving that looks realistic, so I am avoiding it for now. But I will one day work out how to do it (and do it well).'The video has greeted with delight by Bond and Lego fans alike with 364,857 people having watched it on YouTube.Despite calls for Bricktease to make an entire Lego version of the film, he admitted he didn't have enough actual Lego to do that.
