Go to Amazon.in's Home PageAttention LEGO fans and collectors: if you happen to be a fan of both the interlocking brick toys and supeheroes — and I’m sure there are plenty of you out there that meet both of those criteria — then this summer is going to be awesome for you. Via Comic Book Resources, the folks at LEGO have just given us a first look at several new Marvel and DC playsets that are heading our way soon, featuring characters like Spider-Man, Batman, and the Suicide Squad. Well, sort of the Suicide Squad. What, did you think they’re going to make a toy for “ages 4 and up” with the words “Suicide” scrawled across the box? (between us chickens though, I kind of wish they could too). Check out pictures of the sets in the gallery below! First up in the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Spider-Man set is Spider-Man: Web Warriors Ultimate Bridge Battle. This one comes with seven minifigures, which include the Scorpion, Kraven the Hunter, Green Goblin, Aunt May, Spider-Girl, Scarlet Spider and Spider-Man.

The building parts of the set offer a section of bridge, Goblin Glider, Taxi and a Police ATV. Unfortunately, there is no Gwen Stacy figure, so you can’t play “Green Goblin throws Gwen off the bridge and her lame boyfriend accidently kills her.” Sorry kids weird adults. The second Spidey set is a smaller one, the Spider-Man: Ghost Rider Team-Up. This set offers just three minifigures, Hobgoblin, Ghost Rider and Spider-Man. Buildable vehicles include a Ghost Rider Bike, Goblin Glider and a traffic light model. Ghost Rider currently doesn’t have a comic on the stands or a movie in development, so I have to wonder why him and not, say, Iron Man, but there you have it. The final Spider-Man set looks to be the coolest, and it’s Spider-Man: Doc Ock’s Tentacle Trap. For this one you get five minifigures including Doc Ock, the Vulture, Captain Stacy, White Tiger and Spidey. The buildable portions of the set include Doc Ock’s Octo-Bot and a police speedboat. On the DC Superheroes tip, we’ve got the Dark Knight in Batman Scarecrow Harvest of Fear.

This set offers five minifigures, including Gas Mask Batman, Blue Beetle, Scarecrow, Killer Moth and a farmer. The three vehicles that can be built in the set include The Batcopter, Scarecrow’s harvester and the farmer’s tractor. Not entirely sure why Blue Beetle is there, but hey, why not. And finally, we’ve got the Suicide Squad set that isn’t really a Suicide Squad set. Technically, this LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes set is titled Batman Killer Croc Sewer Smash. But included among the set’s five minifigures are Suicide Squad members Killer Croc, Captain Boomerang and Katana. So, it’s a tie-in without being a tie-in. The set also includes Batman and Red Hood minifigures. The three vehicles that can be built include the Bat-Tank, Killer Croc’s Battle Chomper and Red Hood’s motorbike.Check them out in our gallery below. What do you think of all these rad superhero LEGO sets? Let us know your thoughts down below in the comments. At the New York Toy Fair today, LEGO unveiled two new sets for the upcoming Spider-Man Homecoming movie.

Whilst the first set gives us another look at the ATM Heist scene from the Trailer, the second shows a hitherto unseen scene featuring the Vulture, Spider-Man and Iron Man battling around a moving armoured van. Whilst we all know just how misleading Lego sets can be, the most intriguing thing about this second set is that one of the characters on the box has been greyed out - both in the character panel in the bottom left, and on the artwork itself where the character is driving the van - suggesting that their name and identity constitue a spoiler for the movie itself. Furthermore, the crates that are falling out of the van carry the initials "DODC", a branding we have seen previously on both cast listings and set photos which internet fan theories have linked to the inclusion of the Damage Control agency in Spider-Man Homecoming One possible explanation to link all of this together is that the rumoured "Department of Damage Control" (DODC) has been responsible for clearing up all the left-over Chitauri tech in New York City (in lieu of SHIELD), and that the Vulture and his gang are attempting to steal this advanced weaponary to bolster their arsenal for their criminal activities, such that we have seen in the trailer....

Or perhaps the mysterious "DODC" is something else entirely. Check out the two lego sets below and let us know what you think in the comments - who is the mystery figure? who are the DODC? GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Vol. 2 Trailer 3 - Ten Things You Might Have Missed Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 VIDEO: In Preparation For LOGAN, Check Out Six Ways To Kill WOLVERINE COMICS: Is Wolverine Finally Going To Return To The Marvel Universe As...As some of you likely noticed, this site crashed for about half the weekend under the highest server strain I’ve ever had across my sites. So I do apologize for the delay in my New York Toy Fair 2017 LEGO coverage. Earlier today I kicked off LEGO Summer 2017 sets coverage on Marvel Toy News with the first of the two newly-revealed LEGO Spider-Man Homecoming sets, and now let’s take a look at the other one here: the LEGO Beware The Vulture 76083 set!

Earlier today I kicked off LEGO Summer 2017 sets coverage oEGO Summer 2017 sets–the ATM Heist Battle–over on my Marvel blog today. I think that that’s a cute little $19.99 quasi-impulse buy item, but as the “main” set for the movie, 76083 Beware The Vulture has a lot more to live up to (including a price tag that’s twice as much). And while I wasn’t floored when I first cast my eyes on this Vulture set at Toy Fair on Saturday, the more I look at my photos and reflect on the set, the more I like it… The main selling point for this set is the largest and most complicated LEGO Marvel minifigure that we’ve ever seen (sort of): the Vulture! See, while the Vulture minifigure itself is just a regular Minifig, his Flight Pack Wings are brick-built and humongous! I didn’t have a ruler with me in the booth (for obvious reasons), but I’d estimate that Vulture’s wings are close to a foot long from tip-to-tip! This will be a seriously impressive (and intimidating) villainous minifigure once he’s fully built and equipped!

Three other Minifigures come with the set: another MCU movie Spider-Man, a new Iron Man minifigure and a mystery character. The Spidey figure features the new “Web Blast!” action feature (a web attachment you flick at enemies), whereas that new Iron Man mini figure’s colors look suspiciously inspired by Ultimate Iron Man. Hmmmm. The big, mysterious intrigue surrounding this set is the identity of the unknown fourth minifigure included. Could it be a LEGO Shocker or Tinkerer minifigure? Neither of those names seems big enough to obscure, so I’m really at a loss as to who would be shadowed out on the box. My best guess is that the identity of that character being in cahoots with the villains is some sort of spoiler for the film, but I think we’re going to have to wait and see. What are your thoughts on this, brick fans? In addition, the set includes one vehicle (other than the Vulture wings): a white truck that can open up to reveal a sort of rocket launcher turret.

The truck is being driven by the mystery character on the box art. The unassuming white truck is rather bland on its own with very few stickers decorating it, but I dig the attack mode conversion with rocket launcher in the back. At 375 pieces for $39.99, I think LEGO 76083 Beware The Vulture may be just a hair overpriced at about 10.66 cents per piece, which is just an average value for a licensed set. Nothing I’ve seen in the trailers has really sold me on this movie at all yet, so I suspect my overall enjoyment of this set will be largely dependent upon the role and appearance this scene plays in the Spider-Man Homecoming movie. If the scene isn’t a winner, this set will be a pass for me. The 76083 LEGO Spider-Man Homecoming Beware The Vulture set is scheduled to be released officially on 6/1/2017, although even street-dated movie sets oftentimes get put into store shelves a bit early by mistake. I’ll post updates to the Brick Toy News Facebook and Twitter Pages both when this set goes up for order and when it’s spotted in stores.
