The trailer for Logan has officially become more than a successful promotional tool for Hugh Jackman's third (and final) Wolverine movie: it's now a bonafide Internet trend. Fans have been so inspired by director James Mangold's (3:10 to Yuma) unique stylistic take on the "Old Man Logan" storyline that they've taken to YouTube. The wave of fan mashups try to apply the Logan trailer's Spaghetti Western visual tone and haunting audio of Johnny Cash's "Hurt" in new creative ways; today, we have one that goes back to remix the visuals of fan-favorite franchise installment, X2: X-Men United, into the signature Logan style. The black and white is a nice nod to another fan remix (The Logan Trailer in Black and White - definitely worth a watch). While the monochromatic makeover of the X2 visuals is far from perfect, the selection of footage and smart edits nonetheless capture the spirit of the Logan trailer in pretty good measure. Since this Logan Trailer remix trend isn't slowing down, we can't wait to see what's next.

Maybe someone can even make X-Men Origins: Wolverine look appealing (good luck with that). While this insane level of merchandising might turn some people off, for astute observers, product tie-ins can be a great way to predict key scenes in the movie. Case in point, sneak peeks of several new Iron Man 3 LEGO sets may have revealed some of the film’s major action sequences and plot points. Over at the Eurobricks website (via Bleeding Cool), a forum member recently shared some product photos of the new sets. There are three sets total: Iron Man Extremis: Seaport Battle, Iron Man vs. The Mandarin: Ultimate Showdown, and Iron Man: Malibu Mansion Attack. The mansion attack has already been seen in parts through multiple Iron Man 3 trailers, but the other sets reveal action scenes that are new. Check out the Lego sets below (click to enlarge): Based on the Iron Man vs. Mandarin set, it looks like Tony Stark’s final battle will feature Ben Kingsley in some kind of mechanized tank. While this is somewhat similar to the endings of Iron Man and Iron Man 2, at least we won’t see Iron Man facing off against another armor-suited bad guy.

Another interesting plot spoiler can be seen in the speedboat set. We already know that Guy Pearce will be playing Aldrich Killian in the film,  a geneticist that works with Tony’s old friend Maya Hansen on the Extremis technology. But what this set shows is that Killian himself may actually become infected by Extremis during the course of the film, something that definitely did not happen in the Extremis comic book storyline. It also reveals that War Machine will be on-hand to help Tony deal with the bad guy. But War Machine may not be the only armored hero helping Tony. Some have speculated that the character in the Iron Man armor for the Malibu Mansion set is Pepper Potts. It’s pretty difficult to tell at this resolution, but it appears as if Pepper is in the suit, saving Tony from falling off the cliff. If that turns out to be the case, it would definitely be an interesting twist in the film. What do you think of these spoilers? Are you looking forward to seeing these scenes in the movie, or are you hoping that the toys aren’t accurate to the film?

Iron Man 3 hits theaters May 3rd, 2013. Source: Eurobricks [via Bleeding Cool] New LEGO Marvel’s Avengers trailer makes its debut It’s New York Comic Con week, which is always an exciting time of the year. However, this year it’s especially exciting for us as we finally get to reveal a little bit more about LEGO Marvel’s Avengers on PS4, PS3, and PS Vita. We’ve been busy in the studio working hard on the game, but NYCC is our time to assemble (see what I did there) and Hulk Smash! From the very start of the project, we wanted the game to be more than just the two amazing Avengers movies featuring our favourite Marvel Super Heroes. As such, we not only focused on retelling the fantastic story of The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron, but went deeper into everything related to the Avengers past and present. We’re now able to reveal that we have playable content in the game that focuses on Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World, which allows us to squeeze all sorts of fun gameplay, jokes, and characters into a terrific package of a videogame.

We’re all huge fans of the Marvel Universe here at TT Games, so we’ve definitely gone to town with what we’re putting into the game on the Marvel Cinematic and Comic side. We want to make sure that LEGO Marvel’s Avengers is a videogame that appeals to anyone who has the slightest attraction to Marvel and their amazing characters, so we’ve made sure that our roster is second to none. We’re including all of the characters from both Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron, of course, and then delving into the comic books for our fun free play. Players will be able to enjoy the main story, explore our reimagination of LEGO Manhattan, experience places like Asgaard, Washington DC, Malibu, Barton Farm, and much more. The entire development team at TT and our inspirational partners at Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment, Marvel, and LEGO, are really trying to outdo ourselves with this game. We’re crafting the most authentic and fun Avengers experience possible while ensuring that there are surprises around every corner… and we mean every corner.
