You had them... your parents had them... and now your little ones need Official vehicle made for use in the motion picture production of The Dukes of Hazzard (2005)Legendary Motorcar is proud to present the official 2005 motion picture "The Dukes of Hazzard" 1969 Dodge Charger.  However most fans simply refer to the vehicle by its stage name "The General Lee."  This is one of only a few 1969 Dodge Chargers that were used in the filming portion of the film.  The VIN number as well as the certificate of authenticity issued by Warner Bros. Entertainment and Village Roadshow Pictures verifies this vehicles extensive involvement in the motion picture production. The General Lee is truly an American Icon.  In fact, this 1969 Dodge Charger could possibly hold the title of the most famous movie car of all time.

Of course, there wasn't just one General Lee.  Reportedly 28 orange Dodge Chargers were filmed for "The Dukes of Hazzard," however most of them never survived the stunt filled film.  Others were cut open so that movie cameras could film from within.  The end result is a very rare and awe inspiring vehicle that is sure to relive the adventures of Bo and Luke Duke eluding authorities and saving the family farm. The General Lee used in the 2005 movie has features that were not found in the TV series.  While the original series featured the factory steering wheel, the 2005 General Lee sports a Grant F/X wheel.  In addition, rather than the simple factory radio player, the General Lee has been updated with a Verge VMP508 CD Player with MP3 support.  Further uniqueness can be found with the shifter and tachometer,  a B&M StarShifter and a Autometer 3904 shift light/tachometer were also added. This vehicle comes with the official documentation verifying its authenticity with certificates, California title copy - registered under Warner Bros pictures, and photographs of the vehicle on set.

As a bonus, the vehicle comes with 5 large mounted poster boards as well as the movie DVD, Digital Press Kit DVD and The Dukes of Hazzard XBOX game.  This car is show ready and these accessories are the perfect touch to add to this legendary collector car.The General Lee's legacy and influence continue to be a part of our pop culture.  After all, this is a car that inspired millions of kids' dreams.  Getting into a car "Dukes of Hazzard style" is still a recognized term for entering a car through the windows and "Daisy Dukes" still describe very short jeans shorts.  After all, how many other cars have had Johnny Cash sing a song about them?  This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to own one of the most famous movie cars in existence. Apr 5th 2016 at 3:50PM As you might imagine, even one of the world's most durable toys is no match for heavy machinery. You're going to want to watch this one with the sound on, both for the cameraman's commentary and the agonizing cries of the poor little LEGO pieces and parts as they fly out, shatter, or get squashed. This comes courtesy of the Hydraulic Press Channel on YouTube, a feed that provides precisely what you'd expect: various objects being obliterated by immense pressure. The video starts out with a LEGO minifig being flattened by the press. That's probably the toughest part to stomach. The press operator then makes a 2x4 brick into an unrecognizable disc. And then the press is loaded up with a finished camper model – it's set 60117, Van & Caravan, for those keeping track.

When the press clamps down on it, pieces go spewing out and then the unlucky ones left get smashed. While this can be tough to watch for LEGOphiles, it's also just a tiny bit satisfying for anyone who has ever stepped barefoot on one of the little studded pieces of plastic. For starters, it's based on the Caterham 620R, and the 770-piece kit means it's probably almost as complex as the real life car.

Plus, being a Lego car, this condensed Caterham 620R does have a few neat little features. Lift the hood off the top on the completed car, and you'll be greeted with the sight of a tiny supercharged Ford Duratec engine, and the axle jacks means you can do a mini tire change if you so desire. Other features are present on the fully assembled vehicle, but the functioning steering system and hinged trunk lid are fairly obligatory and standard fare on a Lego car nowadays. Still, it's a sweet little item that'll be well complemented by the Lego Porsche 991 GT3 RS kit that was released not so long ago, and - with Christmas just over four months away - it's probably best to keep the Lego Caterham in mind as a potential candidate for a seasonal gift. It probably won't be what the present recipient will think of if they catch wind you'll be getting said person a Caterham self-assembly kit, but we're sure whoever's getting it will love this Lego set regardless.
