He had got back into Lego himself in a big way 5-6 years ago."I found it really relaxing," he said."It really helped with the stress of running my own business."Mulholland said Lego could appeal to all ages as there was so much variety."There's always something that people will enjoy," he said. While Mulholland would focus his energies on Lord of the Rings themed sets or modular buildings, Cook preferred to build his own designs."As a child I had a lot of the space Lego.""Now I build big enormous ones. I call them ships."Building large Lego spaceships wasn't easy or cheap, he said."There has been a serious, huge investment in parts."I must have spent about $10,000 over the past five years."Cook said the adult Lego community was like a big family."It's a very social scene."But there were always the haters, or at least the skeptics."When people find out you're into Lego a lot say you're too old for that," Mulholland said."But others think it is an interesting hobby."I think it's like people who do model train layouts."

Regardless of what they think, Cook and Mulholland's hobby makes Christmas shopping easy."Even my in-laws buy me Tow World vouchers," Mulholland said.Cook said he wasn't worried about telling people of his hobby anymore."You find a lot of closet collectors."Mulholland had found the same."They don't say much until they realise you're into it too."■ The Brickcon Lego expo will be held at the St Bernard's College gym; October 31 and November 1, entry $2.Sold & shipped by WalmartShipping optionsPickup options$.1Add to CartShipping optionsPickup optionsAge Range: 6 to 12 years888 piecesIncludes 4 minifigures Read more....
