LEGO Legends of Chima Online / Warner Bros. has announced that three new LEGO games based on its brand-new Chima range of toys will be released in 2013. LEGO Legends of Chima: Laval's Journey will be developed by solely TT Games, and will be released for the PS Vita in summer 2013 and for Nintendo 3DS sometime in the autumn 2013. It is said that players "will embark on an amazing adventure into the world of Chima™ where the brave warrior Laval and his allies are called upon to fight for justice." and will be coming out for iOS devices tomorrow, January 3. The  racing mini-game has been co-produced by TT Games and 4T2. Players will be able to race as their favourite Chima characters and drive through iconic locations from the fictional world. Expect tonnes of unlockables and various ways to customise your character. The third and final game is a free-to-play, online world that's being developed by WB Games Montreal called LEGO Legends of Chima Online. Scheduled for a release in the autumn of 2013, it will provide a "safe and immersive connected game experience", with the ability to build and customise their kingdom in Chima, as well as explore different environments.

Furthermore, players will be able to earn points in the first two games – Laval's Journey and Speedorz – which they'll be able to redeem and enhance their experience in LEGO Legends of Chima Online. If you've never heard of Legends of Chima, don't worry. It's a new range of toys set in the mythical land of Chima inhabited by magical animal tribes, including Lion, Eagle, Gorilla and Crocodile. Would you like to see more LEGO games take their cues directly from the toys (City? or continue to adapted big Hollywood properties? Based on several different tribes of warrior animals, LEGO are planning on releasing several Chima sets this year, which will be backed up by a trio of kid-friendly games – a web-based/iPhone racing game, a free-to-play online world and perhaps the most interesting for us, a new portable Lego game for the 3DS, PS Vita and DS. And much like the Lego Ninjago series, the Legends of Chima series is getting it's own TV show too.Lego Legends of Chima: Laval's Journey, the 3DS/Vita/DS game is set in the land of Chima, a world inhabited by eight different animal tribes, all fighting for control of the mystical Chi orbs – a powerful element of unimaginable power that's also the source of all life. The first tribe to drink from the sacred Chi reserves, the lion tribe became the sworn protector of all things Chi, but the crocodiles soon got rowdy, demanding a greater share of the orbs, before things quickly escalated to full scale battles, led by the crocodile prince Cragger. As war ravages the land, the fate of the Chi, and all who depend on it, hangs in the balance, and it's up to you as the prince of the lion tribe, Laval, to help put things right.

As we can see from the new trailer, the game looks set to follow much of the same tried and tested Lego platforming formula that we've come to know and love – smash everything in sight, solve a few simple puzzles and scour each level for hidden collectibles. During your adventure you'll journey through the Lion Temple, Gorilla Forest, Croc Swamp and more, to unlock new allies for the titular character Laval – each of which have their own unique abilities to help you out.Lego Legends of Chima: Laval's Journey hits the Nintendo 3DS and Playstation Vita over the summer, whilst a DS version follows in the autumn (for some reason). Until then, we have a trailer to tide you over:This week, subscriber and viewership growth on the legoJANG YouTube channel reached a level I never imagined possible.  What I could do now is settle into a routine & take it easy for awhile and enjoy how great things are going.I could do that, but I won't.Instead, this coming week I am going to do something I don't think has ever been done in the LEGO community.

I won't spill the details just yet, but this event is going to be serious, and it's going to give you, the viewers, an absolutely unheard-of degree of input and level of control over my work in the LEGO world! All else I'll say right now is, start thinking about what LEGO products you would really like to see me review, and keep a daily watch out for next week's announcement!  I don't know which day it will be, but I will announce it here and on YouTube, and it's going to be BIG!! Here's another of the last big wave of Summer 2013 LEGO City sets, with a non-municipal, non-utility theme that I feel we don't see enough of. As this is a small set, the speed build is integrated into the review video. Video: LEGO City Stunt Plane 60019 set review! After my surprise disappointment in the big Cargo Terminal plane set, it was nice to drop down to a much cheaper Cargo aircraft set with a far more rewarding build and good value.Videos:LEGO City Cargo Heliplane 60021 set review!LEGO City Cargo Heliplane 60021 speed build

The Cargo sub-theme of LEGO City is back for 2013, starring a new incarnation of the large cargo airliner featured in this high-priced Terminal set.Videos:LEGO City Cargo Terminal 60022 set Review!LEGO City Cargo Terminal 60022 speed build! LEGO's Galaxy Squad Galactic Titan set has over 1,000 pieces and is the biggest of the sets in the series, period.  This one is part of wave 2, for Summer 2013, and was one of the last Galaxy Squad sets to be released for the year!  Videos:LEGO Galaxy Squad Galactic Titan 70709 in-hand REVIEW!LEGO Galaxy Squad Galactic TITAN 70709 speed build! Three new MOCs and a Bricklink haul today to add to my LEGO city!LEGO police kiosk & sports car custom MOCsLEGO organic grocery store custom MOCBricklink haul June 24, 2013 It's a big day for my LEGO city!  I got my first of two Bricklink orders in from Germany, with a huge load of train tracks that allowed me to get two full loops running! This is a realization of a goal I first unveiled back in March.

You see, good things don't happen overnight!  It takes time & patience!Videos:Bricklink Haul June 21, 2013LEGO city update 6/21/2013 - Train tracks inThe next update about my LEGO city will be published when there's another update to publish!  Also, the city will never be "done," it will just evolve! Here's my first proper custom LEGO building since the turn of the century!  There's a lot to it, so the video went longer than expected :)Video: LEGO police station custom MOC I'm writing this post mostly to acknowledge that I have seen this trailer :)  I'm sure most of you have as well, as many of you have been telling me about it all day :)  Looks appropriately funny, which I really appreciate.  I hope it gets a full worldwide theatrical release!Never has LEGO been so legit! Where there's LEGO water there must be LEGO boats, and where there's a LEGO city there must be LEGO people!  Videos:LEGO classic wooden powerboat MOCSome LEGO custom minifigs 6/19/2013 This is one set that includes everything shown above for $30 USD.

Video: LEGO City Starter Set 60023 build & review! This will probably be the last Chima set I'll buy for quite awhile.  I've only picked up the sets that interested me.  I've got a bunch more City sets arriving soon and then I want to really focus on building up my own all-custom city.Videos:LEGO Chima Croc Swamp Hideout 70014 SPEED BUILD!LEGO Chima Croc Swamp Hideout 70014 set review! Videos:LEGO Chima Worriz's Combat Lair 70009 SPEED BUILD!LEGO Chima Worriz's Combat Lair 70009 set review! Once again, nothing you see above should be considered final at all, but this is showing the general idea of the shape & rough arrangement of one corner of the layout.  The train yard and port have been laid down exactly as they are in my digital mockup and they feel "right."  Both are on a siding off the main line, so there's a little extra room for switching even when other trains are in continuous operation.Again, not final at all!  This is called work in progress! Following the trend in Legends of Chima sets, it only stands to reason that members of the gorilla tribe would drive a gigantic mechanical... gorilla.

Video: LEGO Chima Gorzan's Gorilla Striker 70008 build & set review! As I am a fan of both racing and LEGO, this Formula 1 inspired set really tugged at my heart strings when it was first unveiled.Video: LEGO City Gran Prix Truck 60025 set build & review! This is it, the big one, big as they come for Legends of Chima, at least for now!  A $120 set with over 1,200 pieces, four vehicles, seven minifigs with accessories!Videos:LEGO Chima Lion Temple 70010 SPEED BUILD!LEGO Chima Lion Chi Temple 70010 set review! I made this video before the set was available in the United States, and I based my approximation of price on the cost in other countries. This may end up being a $39 USD set once it is finally released in the US, in which case obviously my thoughts about value will be a bit ill-founded. Thank you in advance for your understanding.Video: LEGO City Coast Guard Plane 60015 set review! This is one I've really been waiting for! Out of all of the LEGO City series sets this year, this has to be one of the most exciting and interesting as it does so, so much to populate, liven up, and fill out any town-like setting.

Almost want to keep it on display.  Oops, too late, already took it apart, but not before getting the thing on video!Video: LEGO Hero Factory MOC: Commemorative Statue (Gold + Silver) Another specimen from the "mad scientist" storyline, one of his earlier hybrid creations this time.Video: LEGO Hero Factory MOC: Specimen 3 I badly need to start making buildings & structures for my LEGO city to use up some parts, and I decided to start with a police station.  Well, that didn't get far.  In order to figure out what size to make the station, I needed to make the things that would go in/with it.
