Black Widow, who is also known as Natasha Romanoff, is a minifigure in the Marvel Super Heroes theme introduced in 2012. She is an Avenger and former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. Black Widow has the same hair part as Elsa Schneider in dark orange (Part 85974), unlike in the movie where it appears short. She also has a double-sided face with happy and angry expressions. Her outfit consista black suit with matching black hands. Her torso printing has a belt with pockets and a silver buckle, feminine curves, grey lines to add shape to the suit which is zipped up to almost to her neck with a bit of chest showing. She also has a second belt at the lower left of her torso and it continues onto the legs, along with straps. She has back printing depicting the suit against her back and the continuation of the blue stripe and the belt. Black Widow received a major upgrade when a new version based on her appearance in The Avengers: Age of Ultron is released in 2015. In addition to a new face variant, she also comes with a unique hairpiece that was first seen on The Joker's Nurse variant from The Dark Knight Trilogy pack in LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham.

The suit includes a belt and light blue electrical stripes that light up. This variant is also featured in the Civil War sets, unlike the film Her appearance is identical to her physical version, however she has her Widow's Bite Gauntlets on her arms. Natasha Romanoff was Drakoff's daughter and was involved in a hospital fire. When she was a young girl she became a Russian spy. Later in her career she caught the attention of S.H.I.E.L.D. They sent Hawkeye to kill her, but Barton refused and Natasha had since owed Hawkeye her life. He persuaded her to start a new life and become an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. She became Tony Stark's new aid at Stark Industries under the alias "Natalie Rushman", but was later revealed to Stark by Nick Fury that she was actually working for him, looking after Iron Man for recruitment purposes. She later stormed Hammer's facility looking for Ivan Vanko as the Black Widow freed War Machine from Vanko's control. Natasha was captured by Russians who managed to figure out she was a spy.

In secret, she was getting the information she needed from them. Agent Coulson called her, informing her that she was needed and Hawkeye had been compromised. She broke free, turned the tables on her captors and was tasked with recruiting Bruce Banner to track the Tesseract, which she was successful. She later helped Captain America and Iron Man apprehend Loki. She used her interrogating skills to get Loki to reveal his escape plan, which was to unleash The Hulk. During the attack on the Helicarrier, she attempted to talk with Banner, but failed and tried to outrun the angry Hulk, until she was slammed against a wall, but was saved by Thor. She then confronted Hawkeye, and knocked him out, returning him from Loki's spell. She later joined the newly formed Avengers team, which also consisted of Captain America, Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor, and Hawkeye, in an attempt and repel Loki and his Chitauri army that were trying to take over the Earth. She took out many of the Chitauri, and rode one of the Chitauri's flying vehicles to the top of Stark Tower, and used the built in shut off switch using Loki's staff.

She saw Thor return Loki and the Tesseract to Asgard, and afterwards returned with Hawkeye to the sevices of S.H.I.E.L.D. She later teamed up with Captain America and the Falcon, another S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, to stop the Winter Soldier and Crossbones, who sought to destroy S.H.I.E.L.D. and the U.S. government. Sometime later, she fights alongside the rest of the Avengers against Tony Stark's creation Ultron, remarking, "Nothing lasts forever." She and Bruce Banner show signs of affection towards each other. However, a broken-hearted Bruce leaves transformed as the Hulk after the Avengers defeat Ultron, giving Natasha a sense of loss. Natasha and Steve Rogers also start training the new Avengers: Falcon, Scarlet Witch, War Machine, and Vision. A year after defeating Ultron, the Avengers fight over a new law passed by the government called the Superhero Registration Act. It requires the superheroes to be controlled by the government. Tony Stark agrees with the law while Steve Rogers, who is also trying to protect his friend, Bucky Barnes, disagrees with the law.

The Avengers split into two sides; Black Widow takes Tony's side with Black Panther, War Machine, Vision, and Spider-Man even though her friends Hawkeye and Steve take the other side. In a large battle at an airport between the opposing sides, Natasha fights against Hawkeye. She asks, "We are still friends, right?" Hawkeye replies, "Depends on how hard you hit me." She is a member of the Avengers that is called upon to stop Loki, Dr. Doom and the team they assembled from collecting the cosmic bricks to build the Doomray of Doom and ultimately Galactus. One of the most dangerous and prolific S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, Natasha Romanoff, aka The Black Widow, made a name for herself as an unequaled operative in the intelligence world. Originally assigned to the Avengers by Director Fury, Widow has since become a full-time member of the heroic team, putting her unparalleled talents to work in the service of mankind.
