A deliriously fun rideA thing of wonder Funniest animated movie of the year A movie the whole family will enjoy In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO® Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble—LEGO® Batman—stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up. Will Arnett reprises his starring role from “The LEGO Movie” as the voice of LEGO Batman, aka Bruce Wayne. Zach Galifianakis (the “Hangover” films, “Muppets Most Wanted”) stars as The Joker; Michael Cera (TV’s “Arrested Development”) as the orphan Dick Grayson; Rosario Dawson (TV’s “Daredevil”) as Barbara Gordon; and Ralph Fiennes (the “Harry Potter” films) as Alfred. “The LEGO Batman Movie” is directed by Chris McKay, and produced by Dan Lin, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Roy Lee, who worked together on “The LEGO Movie.”

Jill Wilfert, Matthew Ashton, Will Allegra and Brad Lewis serve as executive producers. The screenplay is by Seth Grahame-Smith and Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers and Jared Stern & John Whittington, story by Seth Grahame-Smith, based on LEGO Construction Toys and based on characters from DC Entertainment. Batman was created by Bob Kane with Bill Finger; Superman was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Production designer Grant Freckelton and editor David Burrows also return from “The LEGO Movie,” joined by editors Matt Villa, and John Venzon. The music is composed by Lorne Balfe. From Warner Bros. Pictures and Warner Animation Group, in association with LEGO System A/S, a Lin Pictures / Lord Miller / Vertigo Entertainment production, “The LEGO Batman Movie” will open in theaters in 3D, 2D and IMAX. It will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company. Sign up for exclusive accessTo celebrate the 50th anniversary of the classic campy Batman TV series starring Adam West that premiered on January 12, 1966, today Lego has officially revealed a massive new 2,500-piece Batcave set that includes the retro Batmobile, Batcopter, and Batcycle.

Available starting in March for $270, set #76052—the Batman Classic TV Series Batcave—comes with 2,526 pieces to be exact, allowing you to build all the best parts of Wayne Manor. From the secret entrance to the Batcave revealed by the red emergency Batphone and a button under the Shakespeare bust... ...to a pair of Batpoles ready to whisk Batman and Robin to all of their wonderful toys hidden underground. And while it might seem campy and over-the-top to you, your parents probably thought the classic 1960's Batmobile was the coolest thing on four wheels. As for Lego Minifigs, there’s a smorgasbord of classic Batman characters included with this set. Not only do you get Batman, Robin, and their alter egos Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson, but Alfred tags along too (someone has to take care of Wayne Manor upstairs) as well as Catwoman, the Riddler, the Joker, and the Penguin. Drive the villains out from Batman’s Batcave!Help Batman and Robin to drive the villain intruders from the Batcave, featuring a Bat Lab with Batcomputer, plus the Batmobile with stud shooters, Batcopter with flick missiles and the Batcycle.

This special model, based on the classic 1960s TV show, also has a Wayne Manor section with an exterior wall to climb on and Bruce Wayne’s study featuring the iconic Batphone and a false bookcase that slides open to reveal the secret entrance to the Batcave. , so enter the secret doorway as Bruce and Dick, and slide down the Batpoles as LEGO DC Super Heroes! You’re reading Leg Godt, the blog with the latest Lego news and the best sets on the web. Follow us on Twitter or Facebook. As if the trailers for The LEGO Batman Movie hadn’t already gotten us excited, last week’s unveiling of the obscure Batman villains making their return in the film would have done it. It’s absolutely insane that the Mime, the Eraser, March Harriet, and Zodiac Master are getting any kind of comeback, much less on the big screen! But they won’t be the only villains making a play for Gotham City in LEGO Batman’s next adventure, and LEGO’s latest vehicles and playsets may have revealed some of the pivotal scenes from the film. Before we go forward, you should know that there are potential spoilers ahead. If you don’t want to know what might happen, break out your can of Bat-spoilers repellent and stop reading now! LEGO has announced four vehicles and playsets from The LEGO Batman Movie, but the one that really caught our attention was the massive LEGO Batcave, which depicts an invasion of the Dark Knight’s headquarters by the Penguin!

We kind of love this one, because it comes with four different Batmans, Bruce Wayne, Alfred Pennyworth, the Penguin, and two Hench-Penguin figures, along with the Batcave itself, as well as the Batboat and the Penguin’s Duckmobile. One of the other sets features Batgirl taking on the Joker and Harley Quinn in “The Joker’s Notorious Lowrider.” That definitely seems like an ideal way for LEGO Batgirl to leave her mark on the film. The LEGO Batmobile is coming out with Batman, Robin, Man-Bat, and the Kabuki Twins; a pair of female villains who haven’t been seen since The Batman animated series that debuted in 2004! You can see the pictures of that set, and the Mr. Freeze Attack playset in our gallery below. LEGO is offering these playsets and vehicles for sale on the official website, and you can buy them now! Which LEGO Batman playset or vehicle is your favorite? Share your picks in the comment section below! Here are the latest details on that other Batman movie!
