Doomsday is a DC Comics character that appears in LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. Doomsday was brought by a scientist named Bertron to Krypton in its prehistoric years, long before the humanoid Kryptonian race inhabited it. He is one of the main foes of Superman and was the results of cruel experiments on evolution. Unlike most villains, Doomsday actually managed to kill Superman. However, both Doomsday and Superman were both killed at the same time. Later on, both Doomsday and Superman were resurrected. Doomsday character token can be unlocked via a timed challenge. But it will not appear until completing a mission for Harley Quinn in the Hall of Doom/Hall of Justice.Published on Mar 1. Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment is already counting on the new superhero movie to be a big success with general audiences and fans alike, based on the movie studio’s aggressive marketing campaign. After its first full-length trailer debuted at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con, Batman V Superman received praise for its glimpses of stunning visuals and character designs. However, director Zack Snyder’s movie ran into some trouble when the studio released its second full-length trailer for Batman V Superman, which appeared to give away some of the film’s big surprises and story twists – namely, with the shocking appearance of Doomsday. However, now that the cat’s out of the bag, the actor who helped bring the supervillain to life can finally speak out. Voice actor Robin Atkin Downes has now Tweeted his involvement in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (see his message below). He described how proud he was to be part of the movie and his admiration for bringing Doomsday to life.
It’s more than likely that Downes performed the motion capture to bring the CGI beast to the big screen, while also undoubtedly lending his voice to the big production (when you consider his background in Hollywood). Very proud to release that I helped bring #Doomsday to life in the upcoming @BatmanvSuperman #Dreamgigs— Robin Atkin Downes (@Robin_A_Downes) February 26, 2016 If you’re unfamiliar with his work, Robin Atkin Downes works a lot with DC Animation, as the actor’s voice appeared in Batman: Bad Blood, Batman: Arkham Knight, Batman vs Robin, Beware the Batman, All-Star Superman, and Justice League: Doom. He just about plays any character from DC Comics, such as Alfred Pennyworth, Harvey Dent, Deathstroke, and the Court of Owls Grandmaster. His voice can also be heard on a few DC video games as well, including Batman: Arkham Origins and Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. Downes has also done some voice work for Marvel Animation and gave his voice to Abomination and Mister Fantastic.
Robin Atkin Downes is a major talent in the voice acting community, so it’s good that he gave Doomsday life (in some way or another) in the upcoming Batman V Superman. It might have been nice if he hadn’t been revealed in a trailer before the actual movie, but hopefully the backstory that we get for the character in the film will prove to be far more interesting than the simple fact that Doomsday is in Batman V Superman in the first place.
