WORK: Lego Batman’s indulging in a little self-promotion With The Lego Batman Movie releasing on February 10, the film’s irreverent protagonist has embarked on self-promotion mission. He’s set to disrupt prime time TV viewing in a series of short clips, that will appear between shows and during commercial breaks on Channel 4. In that low guttural voice he makes editorial announcements, and throws in some brazen proclamations of how his own awesomeness. Like we needed a reminder. February 15, 2017 | The sequel of sorts... is not quite as good, but at its best, it has the same whiplash wit and inspired freneticism. February 10, 2017 | The thing about a sequel or a spinoff, even a mostly fun one like The LEGO Batman Movie, is that it's hard to recreate enthusiasm and inventiveness. What was once new is now, already, routine. Overall, The Lego Batman Movie offers enough action and silliness to enthrall children while providing sufficient pop culture and Batman-through-the-years references to keep adults entertained. Basically, it's a standard-issue Batman narrative - arguably better than 50 per cent of history's other Batman films - that just happens to take place in a Lego-fied world. It's the Bat-spoof we didn't know we needed and it gives Batman a chance to loosen up.Have you ever wanted to feel like Batman? Well now you can - providing you've got an iPhone . Using Siri - the voice control tool that talks back to you - you'll be able to pretend you're the Caped Crusader, who's voiced by Will Arnett in the new Lego film.
In the Lego Batman movie, which was released on February 10, the Dark Knight uses his personal computer in a similar way to how iPhone users would talk to Siri, but Batman starts his digital conversation with "hey 'puter". The computer in the film is actually voiced by Siri and Apple have taken advantage of this, giving iPhone owners a glimpse into the life of a superhero with their own crime-fighting super computer. All you have to do it is say "hey 'puter" or "hey computer" to Siri (once you've held down the home button) and she'll respond to you as if you're Will Arnett's Lego Batman saying "I am at your service, Lego Batman sir". And you don't even have to put on the gruff Batman voice. Some of the other responses, which reference the new film, include "Hello, sir. I've heated up your lobster thermidor in the microwave" and "Welcome home, sir. I have your rom coms queued up, sorted by decade". Lego Batman in currently in cinemas around the country.
