This past Saturday, Mr. Brazier, a 39-year-old waste container cleaner, was getting ready for an upcoming fishing trip. Just when he was about to buy some more maggots for bait, he changed his mind and decided to head over to Betfred, a United Kingdom bookmaker. He wound up betting £2 ($3.35) on the Scoop6, a pool bet that challenges gamblers to, “select all 6 winners from 6 (horse) races.” As the Daily Mirror reports, it’s a good thing he didn’t decide to buy more maggots. After he placed his bet, Mr. Brazier went home to watch the races. The races quickly became far more interesting to watch for the married father of two.

He told the Daily Mirror that while his wife, Tracy, was asleep, he was wide awake and, “panicking after I got three out of three. After the fourth winner I went and told her but she said, ‘You aren’t lucky enough’ and dozed off.” As it turned out, Tracy’s husband was lucky enough. And as Chatez the racehorse won the sixth race, so did Mr. Brazier. His miniscule bet, almost spent on maggots, wound up scoring him a cool £1,342,599 ($2,244,557).According to the Nottingham Post, Mr. Brazier and his family will now look for a new home to live in and are planning on visiting Disney World. The new millionaire originally thought about buying a horse for himself, but after looking into the cost, he’s less keen on the idea. The Guardian notes that both Craig and Tracy plan on keeping their jobs, and that one daughter asked for new shoes, and the other a new desk.On Wednesday, Mr. Brazier got to meet Chatez, the horse that helped secure his jackpot. All in all, it’s been a stellar week – that could possibly be surpassed depending on what happens this weekend.

As the BBC notes, he has been entered into a pool for an upcoming bonus race that could win him another £5 million ($8,359,000).More info: Daily Mirror,Nottingham Post,The Guardian, BBCWhat to Read NextUh-oh, it looks like your Internet Explorer is out of date. As one of the most important and inspirational leaders of America's civil rights movement, Martin Luther King, Jr. became the catalyst for change in a nation marked by segregation and discrimination. Unlike the civil rights activists who argued for a violent response to segregation and prejudice, King believed that peaceful resistance could bring about great change. He dreamed of an America where all people could enjoy the same rights and opportunities and then worked tirelessly to make his dream a reality. Nearly half a century after his assassination, King continues to inspire much of the American dialog about civil rights. Fishman said in a statement. "The brothers allegedly also claimed costly clothes and cars as business expenses and funneled company money into personal accounts.

The law is absolutely clear: telling the truth to the IRS is not optional."The brothers are charged with one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States. Marc and Michael Sorrentino are also charged with three and two counts, respectively, of filing false tax returns for 2010 through 2012. The Sitch, 32, faces an additional count for allegedly failing to file a tax return for 2011 despite earning $1,995,757.                         [Related: The Situation Arrested at New Jersey Tanning Salon]The conspiracy and filing false tax return counts each carry a maximum potential penalty of three years in prison and a $250,000 fine. The count charging the reality star with failing to file a tax return carries a maximum potential penalty of one year in prison and a $100,000 fine."No matter what your occupation or status in life, if you attempt to cheat on your taxes for personal financial gain, you face real consequences including criminal prosecution and a possible prison sentence," said Jonathan D. Larsen, acting special agent in charge of IRS-Criminal Investigation in the Newark Field Office."

The charges are fiction. And it's unfortunate that the government is relying on the word of a disgraced accountant who is a proven liar," Christopher Adams, attorney for Marc Sorrentino, told ABC News. "This is not a surprise. We have been showing the government for the better part of a year now the flaws in their theory and now we'll have to show the same to court."                           [Related: Jersey Shore Star Facing Federal Investigation]A rep for The Situation has yet to comment on the indictment; however, in November, the reality star was fully cooperating with authorities when he learned he was facing a federal investigation."Although the nature and the scope of the investigation is not clear at this time, Sorrentino fully expects that when all the facts are revealed, no further action will be taken," a publicist said at the time.Mike posted the following quote to Instagram on Wednesday: Tanning may be out of the question, but (silver lining) The Situation could get in some gym and laundry time in behind bars if it comes to that.
