Lego Batman has found its Lego Alfred. British actor Ralph Fiennes has signed on to voice the Caped Crusader’s loyal butler, Alfred Pennyworth, in the animated spin-off movie, EW has confirmed. As first reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Fiennes joins a cast including Will Arnett, reprising his role as Batman from the original Lego Movie; Michael Cera, who will play Robin; and Rosario Dawson, who will play Batgirl. Funnyman Zach Galifianakis is in negotiations to provide the voice of the Joker. Chris McKay, the animation supervisor on The Lego Movie, is directing Lego Batman from a script by Seth Grahame-Smith. A two-time Oscar nominee for his work in Schindler’s List and The English Patient, Fiennes showed off his comedic chops in The Grand Budapest Hotel and is also known for portraying Voldemort in the Harry Potter movies.
