Ideas or Sources for Refilling Sofa's Back Cushions? Q: I purchased the Amalfi sectional from Havertys about a year and a half ago. It's been a pretty good couch so far with one exception: the back pillows now get deformed fairly easily. The part that gets sat at the most now won't even re-fluff into a flat form again and makes for a bit of uncomfortable leaning. Haverty's has a 1-year free parts and labor warranty, but sadly since we bought it two summers ago it doesn't qualify anymore. Has anyone had any successful tricks or tips? I know there is always the option of getting new higher-quality foam/filling (it currently has synthetic pillow filling,) does anyone know of a great store to get this done at? Tempura mattresses have been recommended to us but they’re hard to buy in Cork. Casey’s Furniture have them but they’ve always been over priced in their city center location. Another brand I have come across is Visco and it appears to do the same job.
According to one salesperson they’re firmer than Tempura mattresses but I need to ring around a few more places before we make up our minds. If you have one of these mattresses I’d love to hear about how comfortable they are. Try searching for any information on either brand and you’ll only find are online-stores trying to flog you one!
