Ireland. On the heels of her latest book, "Creating a Home," and the launch of her online store, the maven of unfussy elegance has set up a two-room shop upstairs from Lucas Design Studio. In addition to Ireland's own line of ethnic-inspired fabrics and warm farmhouse furniture, bold textiles from Hugh Sinclair and Lula fabrics, the shop showcases luxury linens from Volga.
Then there are pillows covered in antique fabrics, one-of-a-kind vintage pieces, and when you're ready to graduate from IKEA chairs, slipcovers in funky patterns that create a high-design look without scheduling a bulk trash pickup. "I want it to be like my atelier sitting room," says Ireland, who fills out the fanciful mix with glass bead necklaces, hand-stitched leather bags from Argentina and customizable maps by Baby De Selliers.
