iOS (swift) engineer

About project:  

Our app is the leading online food platform in the USA. Our app helps with same-day delivery and/or pickup options to bring fresh groceries and everyday essentials to busy people and families across the USA. 

We have partnered with more than 500 beloved regional and local retailers, including unique brand names. 

Team: 

We are a team of 50+ people. The core team is in San Francisco, Atlanta, and Toronto.

We have backend developers, frontend engineers, android engineers, PO, QAs, SM, and designers. 

We use Agile methodology, 2-week sprints. We do daily meetings, sprint planning, grooming sessions, retrospective meetings, and demos.

Currently, we are looking for a developer who will know iOS engineers to help us with mobile development. 

Working flexible: 8 hours a day. We required at least 4 hours of cross time with the San Francisco time zone. 

Long-term 12+ months.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 3+ years of iOS app development experience ;
• Strong development skills in Swift, rxSwift, Xcode, UIKit, and iOS SDK;
• Strong sense of product ownership;
• Automated testing experience;
• An ability to balance a sense of urgency with shipping high quality and pragmatic solutions;

The following would also be a significant plus, but not required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field;x
• Solid understanding of various architecture patterns such as MVVM and MVC;
• Strong general programming and algorithm skills;
• Data-driven mindset;

Responsibilities:

• You will be part of a small team, with a large amount of ownership and autonomy for managing things directly;
• You will work closely with Product Managers, other teams, and both internal and external stakeholders, owning a large part of the process from problem understanding to shipping the solution;
• You will ship high quality, scalable and robust solutions with a sense of urgency;
• You will have the freedom to suggest and drive organization-wide initiatives;
• You will educate colleagues about the subtleties & unique capabilities of the platform and leverage them when building new features;
