Recently, I got to implement the new StudioPress Foodie theme* when creating a new website for my friend Jennifer over at Sewplicity. Jennifer is not only a great designer for replacement high chair covers, she is also a smart business woman and a creative blogger. Her high chair covers are so good, she was even asked to be on the Katie Couric  Show. When she asked me to create her new website, her old website looked like two completely separate websites depending on what page you clicked, did not have her Etsy shop integrated and the ordering process was everything else but streamlined. She wanted a clean, simplistic look to emphasize her brand… She also recently embarked on a journey to clean eating and since she is a blogger through and through was now also writing about food and needs a clean way to display her recipes.  Simplicity is much harder to achieve than chaos. When I started to think what her dream website would be, a clean white canvas come to mind.

I found it in Foodie by Shay Bocks, a very talented fellow WordPress developer. She developed Foodie as a Third-Party Theme for StudioPress that leverages the powerful Genesis Framework You have to have a self-hosted version of WordPress and Genesis Framework running before installing and activating the Foodie child theme. The Foodie child theme comes packed with some great features: I also love that you have the option to use an image as a custom header or text in a beautiful font. I made some minor changes to the CSS to accommodate Sewplicity’s color scheme. I also added her Etsy shop using the Etsy Pro Plugin from Fairground Media, which allows me to pull her products by category. Then I integrated MailChimp with the Genesis Extended eNews plugin and a bunch of other additions. Finally, I migrated her blog – this experience warrants another blog post all together. It was pretty nerve wracking. Jennifer has more than 500 blog posts and I struggled a bit to display them in a way that would show a lot visually in a grip.

I used the Genesis Grid Loop plugin by the great Bill Erickson. Overall, I loved the theme – this is seriously a great WordPress theme by StudioPress and you get a ton for your money! But if I had to find negative points: I wish the documentation was not so broken up (but that is a matter of personal taste) and the H1 headlines are not standing out enough compared to H2.Feel free to check out her website and come back if you have any questions. * Organic SEO Press is a proud affiliate of StudioPress!Save all your favorite baby products in one place. This makes dining out with my crazy 1.5 year old less than enjoyable. baby portable high chair is the perfect solution! It is a light weight, free standing high chair that seriously sets up in seconds. I like to think of it like a camping chair but for your little ones. When I first received this product I pulled it out of the storage bag and set it up (SERIOUSLY took no more than 10 seconds). First thing I noticed was how light weight it was but it was really sturdy, I wasn’t afraid my crazy girl was going to tip it over with her dinner time dancing. Next thing I noticed was the tray area. The tray area is covered in a clear vinyl that makes clean up so easy and it also has a built in mesh cup holder so sippy cups have their own place to go.baby portable high chair includes a lap belt so I didn’t have to worry about my daughter climbing out while I’m trying to get the 3.5 year old to eat. I could see using this portable high chair for traveling, camping (baby won’t be getting into the bag of marshmallows), picnics or even as a spare high chair at grandma’s house!

I am considering getting one of these for my parents so they can have a place for my daughter to eat meals without it taking up so much room in their home. Another awesome feature is the clip on umbrella that makes outdoor fun great for little ones. The clip on umbrella is UV lined and adjustable to keep the sun out of their faces. The umbrella has a universal clamp so it can double as a stroller umbrella (SO COOL!). I cannot sing enough praise about this product. It is a fantastic addition to our family and will be a Godsend when we move back to the states and need a high chair that isn’t bulky.baby portable high chair retails for $29.99 plus a $6 flat rate shipping. I think this is a great price for a product that can be used in so many different places. I received product in exchange for my honest review.Highchair and Booster Seat Reviews To tray, or not to tray? That is the question, at least when it comes to finding the best high chair. With a tray, you can scoot the high chair anywhere you want in your kitchen or dining room, and in a lot of cases, you can stick the tray in the dishwasher after a meal.

Sans tray, baby pulls right up to the table with you, part of the family meal from his or her first foods. Need a second (or third, or eighteenth) opinion? Ask a friend to weigh in). What you'll want, no matter what: to be able to wipe the whole thing clean with a sponge. Poke around for crevasses; your baby will definitely find a way to get some smashed blueberries in there.
