ALEXANDRIA, Va. – This summer and fall, convenience store leaders have four opportunities to sharpen their leadership skills during a NACS executive education experience. The NACS leadership program combined research-based management frameworks with practical, hands-on experiences and offers ample networking opportunities for attendees. The curriculum covered operating models, supply chain, customer experience, people engagement and culture change. The courseware integrated lessons and tools from various areas, including business strategy, design thinking and digitalization. Attendees had the opportunity to apply those methods to their own companies.

Within these general domains, a great deal of her work explores issues related to the value of unintentionality in consumer choice and the unorthodox choices that people make in the face of threats to their personal identity. In exploring these issues, she strives to answer both theoretical and practical questions, with a fundamental goal of advancing basic insight in consumer psychology and shedding light on strategic actions that can subsequently be generated. Taly Reich has published articles in leading journals such as Nature, Psychological Science, the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology and the Journal of Consumer Research. Taly Reich holds a PhD in Marketing from Stanford Graduate School of Business and an M.Sc. Cognitive and behavioral therapies and counseling training is part of a U.S. industry of more than 154,000 convenience stores with retailers who rely on information and insights from NACS to make them stronger and more profitable. For four days, attendees will be networking with industry experts, attending thought-provoking and empowering education sessions, and exploring a show floor with the latest merchandise for convenience and fuel retailing.

Prof Boh received her PhD from the Tepper School of Business at the Carnegie Mellon University. She is also Head of the Division of Information Technology and Operations Management and Director of the Information Management Research Centre at NTU. Her research interests are in the areas of knowledge and innovation management and social media.
