They were quick to come by and give me an estimate for adding insulation to my entire attic and they were competitive in terms of their pricing.
They were friendly, on time, and neat in their work.You won’t ever regret using this company. We have used others that used shortcuts to save them money, and it’s just not worth it. In regards to the Door Install, a time and date was set where I met with the customer for over 1 hour to help her measure the door and go over a few other projects. Everything was itemized and quoted. This was a total Front door replacement which wad quoted out at $180. This customer had the nerve to ask me to install the door at $90 which I quickly dismissed. Eventually she called around and came back asking me to complete the job.
Keep in mind that this customer live in Atlanta, GA I arrived at the project early and spend the better part on 6-8 hours installing the customer purchased out swing door. Upon completion of the project the customer was notified of several issues that came up as well as pictures were taken and sent. Knowing that the customer was not local. The customer signed off on the project and payment was sent. Three weeks later I was notified by the customer that she wanted an in swing door, I explained that it was not possible to she got very irate and demanded her money back which I explained the the door was installed according to what was purchased. The customer also wanted me to repaint the door at no cost. This was not an easy customer to work for. She just kept asking for additional services that I just was not willing to give. I am a business owner who prides myself on providing Quality services. I have had over 300+ Hires and 270+ Reviews in the past few months and this one just don't sit well with me.
Always follow your heart/gut because this is a job I didn't want to take because of my first encounter. "BAD MOVE " on my part. Called and text this customer regarding his service request. Never received a confirmation all 3 times. I am about 80 -90 minutes away from the project and it is not effective for us to drive to this customer with out an absolute conformation. This customer didn't not even want to spend the additional cost on the installation of the project. Now here is a customer who is totally unreasonable. This customer hired us to perform a door installation without purchasing the door. I scheduled the install 2+ weeks ahead and at the day of install no door. I suggested to the customer to purchase the door from Lowe's or Home Depot and I would pick up the door for her at no cost at a later date. That was the last I heard from this customer. I tried calling and texting with out any luck. I am not sure why i received this review when I never even perform the installation.
I never charged her for having us (2 person crew) drive 55 minutes and not able to perform the installation because she was not prepared as she stated prior. If any one look at our service records you will see that it is TOPS. We are all about CUSTOMER SERVICE and Performance. I have talked with Thumbtack Support and they are not willing to do anything to resolve this issue even though no service was ever performed. I guess you cant win them all! Just to make it clear. I don't miss appointments " I called this customer more than 10 times in the pass week and a half and each time it goes to voicemail. I also send text and went to the customers home twice and still no reply. I am type "A" when it comes to my customers and the level of service I provide. Can't keep chasing this customer. I also notified Thumbtack Support of the lack of response from this particular customer. This customer was way off base. This was my second go around with this customer.
The first job was to install 6 or 8 recessed lights in his kitchen ceiling. The install too longer than anticipated due to the fact the equipment purchased form Home Depot was incorrect for his requirements, working in 100+degrees attic as well as the customer constantly looking over your sholder as the work is being done. All in all performed the installation at a high level (This he regarded as as simple job). In regards to the plank tiles, a time a date was set, met with the customer for over 1.5+ hours going over specifics of the project (Layout and design). I specifically layed out 3 to 4 boxes of tile showing what the entire project would look like at completion. Told customer to make sure both he and his wife was in agreement. On start day he gave me the green light after I reconfirmed everything with him again. I spent the better part of 3 day installing underlament and the plank tile and on day 3 customer wanted me to change the layout that was agreed upon prior to starting the project.
