PVC Stop Molding nails to the outside frame of the garage door. When the door closes, the flap on the stop molding presses against the door to provide a tight seal around the sides and top of the garage door. The PVC Stop Molding comes in two widths: 2" and 2-5/8". The 2" stop molding comes as both hollow and solid.

The only difference in the design is that the hollow stop molding has some space between the garage frame and the outside of the stop molding. Both styles of 2" PVC Stop Molding come in six colors: almond, brown, gray, green, sandstone, and white. The 2-5/8" wide PVC Stop Molding is hollow and comes in brown and white. Another type of garage door weatherstripping seal is the Rigid Vinyl Reverse Angle Jamb Seal. This secures to a piece of angle iron just outside of the garage door. The flap on this weatherstripping seal points back to the garage door. When the door is closed, the flap on the Ridgid Vinyl Reverse Angle Jamb Seal presses against the garage door to make a tight seal. This weatherstripping comes in four different colors: brown, grey, white, and black. We also sell a flap seal that secures to the top of the garage door. This type of weatherstripping comes specifically for Step Rabbit and Tongue & Groove garage door sections, but there is also a universal weatherstripping seal that we sell.

Most of the top flaps that we sell are single flaps, but we do sell the Dual Flap Top Seal for Tongue and Groove sections. All of the top flaps come in black. On steel rolling garage doors, you can install a clip-on seal. One side secures to the vertical angle iron or c-channel guides. The other side has a flap that seals the door. Can the 18' top piece be ordered through Home Depot?I believe the best advice would be to talk to one of our many specialty department professionals at your local Home Depot store. this is the vertical piece. where is the horizontal piece for a double wide garage?Installing door stop molding keeps bugs and pests out of a garage. The gap between a garage door and the doorjamb allows air, bugs and moisture to move freely from outside to the inside of your garage. Closing off this gap helps increase the comfort level inside your garage. The job of closing garage door gaps falls to the overlooked door stop molding. A correctly installed stop molding will seal off the gap surrounding the door opening without interfering with the operation of the garage door. Measure the height of the left-side doorjamb with a tape measure. Subtract the thickness of the door stop from the measurement.

Use a pencil to mark the dimension on a length of door stop. Write "Left side" on the underside of the door stop. Measure the right-side doorjamb, and subtract the stop thickness from the measurement. Mark the length and the identification -- "Right side" -- on the backside of the second piece of door stop. Measure the distance between the left and right sides for the piece of door stop running across the top of the garage door. Place one of the marked pieces of door stop in a miter box. Align the length mark with the square cut lines of the miter box and slide the blade of a handsaw into the two 90-degree slots running down the sides of the box. Cut through the door stop and set it aside. Cut the remaining sections of molding using the miter box and handsaw. Close the garage door. Set up one stepladder at the left corner of the garage door and a second ladder near the center of the door. Have an assistant hold the center of the top door stop against the doorjamb, as you push the left side of the molding tight to the corner of the opening.

Push the left side of the molding toward the door. Stop pushing when the rubber seal -- attached to the molding -- sits against the garage door but does not compress. Hammer a 6d nail through the molding and into the doorjamb 1 inch in from the corner with a claw hammer. Hold the molding in position as you hammer one nail every 12 to14 inches along its length. Hold the left-side molding against the doorjamb with the rubber seal touching the garage door. Secure the molding by placing one 6d nail 1 inch down from the corner and then one additional nail every 12 inches until you reach the bottom of the door opening. Repeat the process to secure the right-side molding to the doorjamb. Trim the overlapping rubber seal from each corner with the sharp blade of a utility knife.
