Wouldn't a normal comfy chair of done the job? No, it has to look awful and cheap otherwise it wouldn't be a 'gaming chair' I got one yesterday. Worst thing ever. And I can't return it. I have one with the groin attachment Serious answer: Shit chairs. EG answer: You should look up the pre-shat on Mowgchairs. They come with 2.1 surround sausages installed. I don't even use the speakers, I just need it as I'm pretty tall and it stops me slouching like I would on a higher up chair. The German 'Need for Speed' chairs which I keep seeing on DOTA matches look quite nice. But that's at the upper end of pointlessly expensive gaming branded stuff scale. But I guess you want something for the living room and not a desk chair, in which case I have no idea. (using a nice Ikea chair for my pc gaming, and a old squishy sofa for my console gaming.) Yeah those look snazzy. I will be buying one next year come bonus time methinks. I'm rocking a 60 Ikea chair for my home office but after using it for about 2 years now, it's starting to show its age (that applies to all things Ikea really), and while I thought it was quite comfy when I bought it, I'm slowly changing my mind now.
Noticed some Youtubers using these racing/office chairs and they do say they're very comfortable even in long "sittings", but their silly designs are putting me off. Might just have to splurge a few hundred quid on a proper exec leather chair some day. You (usually) get what you pay for. I don't think I understand gaming chairs. What's the advantage exactly? They make you game faster. They get the ladies wet too. There's no advantage at all. Makes your room look nice though They have compartments for pizza, snacks and dips. Yeah, I reckon my front room would look much better with this plonked in the middle: @THFourteen Both me and the missus have DX Racers, and they've seen a hell of a lot of use over two years. Both still look brand new. Excellent upholstery, more comfortable than you'd believe, and brilliant construction. I can't speak highly enough of them. They were a bit pricey, but compared with having to buy cheaper chairs over and over because something tears/breaks/etc, I'd say they're a worthwhile investment.
I wouldnt put one in the front room! I have a man cave for that sort of thing with my PC, surround sound, star wars lego etc on display. That looks uncomfortable as fuck. Where's the lumbar support? I discovered just in time that my wife was getting me one for Christmas! It must mean she doesn't like my battered old Ikea leather swivelly thing. Yeah that looks more like a lazyboy replacement - can't use that with a desk for starters. Also the seatbelt's missing @JuanKerr When do you become a grumpy old man? IME the swish X Rocker ones are comfy enough, but the speakers are wank and the better quality upholstery and materials actually makes them useless as gaming chairs as the sub is so muffled. On the other hand, the cheaper Pyramat chairs, which are just wooden frames with some slightly cushioned cloth stretched over with a sub pushing against it, are amazing. So cheaply made (you can easily feel all the wooden framing through the material), but that's why they're so good, it's like having a curtain between you and the subwoofer speaker and it slams into your back with every beat.
Playing Rez on one is orgasmic. Playing some metal music with fast double kick drum feels like you're under minigun fire, but without the death. Downside being you can't stay in one for more than an hour without your back snapping, downside of the terrible design. @Jono62 Many moons ago my friend Second that about Rocker chairs having crappy speakers. They are very cheap and nasty and I've had to take one apart to fix them twice in the past. Sometimes posts may contain links to online retail stores. You don't want your seat to take you out of the game, right? You want your gaming chair to be comfortable, supportive and maybe have a few extra gaming-centric features on it. To be truly comfortable, you need more than just a regular sofa so here's our definitive collection of the best gaming chairs.
Whether you want a chair for your PC or to settle down in front of the TV, we've got you covered. Your spine will thank you, we promise. When only a luxurious leather throne will do Dimensions: 54 x 56 x 141cm | Seat height: 131-141cm | Maximum load: 180kgThere are few gaming chairs out there as just plain luxurious as Noble's premium line. With genuine leather - yes, it does smell and feel lovely - the EPIC series comes in a variety of colours with an attractive stitched hatching on the seat back. Most importantly though is just how solid and comfortable it is while you're sitting at your PC and practically everything is adjustable. You can raise and lower the arm rests, the backrest can be moved to just the right angle and if you fancy a snooze mid game, you can recline it all the way back to 14 degrees. There's always the drawback of the premium price but the EPIC looks and feels incredible once you've got it all set up and, let's face it, you're going to be in this chair for a long time.
Look at it like buying a mattress; you deserve to be comfortable while you play. While it doesn't take too long to build, you should definitely grab a friend to make it easier as the backrest is a little tricky to secure with only one person. Speaking of the back rest, the double spinal and head cushions seal the comfort deal and make everything that little more supportive. You won't believe how much your back has needed that adjustable pillow until it's there. A throne among gaming chairs. Luxurious comfort for those with no budget restraints View item: Noblechairs EPIC Series Real Leather Black/White/Red, Overclockers UK, £439.99Great support and comfort with an eyecatching designDimensions: 52 x 53 x 140-149cm | Seat height: 140-149cm | Maximum load: 150kgIf you want to make a decor statement with your gaming chair, consider the SL4000 as a striking message to the IKEAs of the world. An ultra-comfortable racing-style seat, it comes in a variety of colours if blue doesn't fit in with your style - the white and black is particularly attractive - and everything is adjustable.
Whether it's seat height, four different arm rest settings or the 170 degrees of choice for the back rest, this is a brilliantly customisable offering. It does take a little bit to get used to the cushion of the seat with its racing sensibilities but the lumbar cushion support is exceptional and you'll never want to go back to a standard office chair again. Like the Noble chair, we would suggest you set it up with a friend as things can get a bit fiddly when screwing in the backrest but once it's built, you can wheel and spin away on a sea of comfort. Plus, as an aside, the PVC coating is easy to clean. We definitely didn't spill coffee on it....Those who want to customise everything on a mid range budget. Gaming comfort at a great price Dimensions: 50 x 50 x 117-124cm | Seat height: 47-54cm | Maximum load: 120kgIdeal for when you want your gaming throne to be disguised as an office chair, the Nitro Concepts C80 is well priced and comfortable for long all night sessions. It manages to both look and feel like a far more expensive too with a stylish design and good cushioning.
