US$1800 after $600 rebate (S&H included, and the usual Costco return assurance). Is there a "Costco deals" thread here like we have at another site? It is on sale for $399.99 after $100 rebate. Many stores near me have plenty. Item number is #992364 Theater recliner. Please call the stores and see if they have it. I think $399.99 is a great price for a power HT recliner with leather on all seating surfaces. Also, Pulaski is actually a mid level furniture brand, higher level than Ashley. Costco's return policy makes getting the chair a no-brainer. Another huge plus is that I was able to load it into my hatchback after removing the outer box.

I wish the chair has the option to remove armrests and daisy chain the chairs together. It is more contemporary looking than most recliner chair which is why my wife likes it. She hates how most reclining sofa/loveseat/armchair look and thinks they are too country looking. She liked The Barcalounger Pegasus II recliner but too bad it was only available in red at Costco. I will get another one tonight. post #16 of 471 Originally Posted by chucky7 Pics or it didn't happen, you have peaked my interest and I am curious what it looks like. post #17 of 471 Originally Posted by window2000bug post #18 of 471 post #19 of 471 I saw the Costco chair a couple of days ago and took some pictures. I was very impressed with the quality and the size. I am 6' 3" and the foot rest when reclined gave good support. A La-z-boy sofa I have seems short in comparison. The head rest also seemed to fit me very well. I don't see anywhere that it is called the "Churchill" so this is possibly a totally different chair than the one discussed at the beginning of this thread.

The chair was very comfortable. Looks to be tough to beat for the price. The width is an issue because there is no sharing of armrests, but there is also the positive of no sharing of armrests. post #20 of 471 post #21 of 471 Don't you love that Costco rebates are always instant? Nowadays it is harder and harder to tell synthetic leather from top grain leather. I examined the seating section and back and I could not tell the difference. It used to be that the real leather would have the leather smell but I heard the smell could also be emulated... I heard that real leather would stand up to the lighter burn test so you can give it a try... Also, if the chair has zippers, you would be able to tell from the backing. Again, for $399.99 after rebate, it's hard to complain. Even at the regular price of $499.99, it is still a good price for a recliner that has leather seating surface and power recline. To put it into perspective, the power recline option on HT seats are $200 for each seat.

Costco's return policy makes it even sweeter. post #22 of 471 Originally Posted by gworrel Thank you for the pictures. A picture is really worth a thousand words!!! Awkward especially on a flight, in a theater or a stadium. post #23 of 471 post #24 of 471 Yeah, I am on the edge of my seat about to buy, it is a HUGE plus to be able to sit in them. I am stuck between them and HTMarket. From a few sites i have checked the power option was only $100. I don't think a large retailer would like about it being top grain leather. On the label it said leather foot rest, set, back, and arms. and PU for everything else. I agree it was very helpful, I would give both of you a 1000 likes if I could lol! Will post them up shortly post #25 of 471 I also have a width restraint with only 11 feet. I am thinking of putting two in the front row and putting my Lazboy sofa on a riser. I thought the leather was very nice with a soft feel and not at all like vinyl. I had to ask someone to plug it in so I could try the power recline and that seemed very smooth and totally quiet. It is not a MIR, but just an instant rebate. Nothing to mail in. I don't know why they do it that way instead of merely making it a sale price. They do charge sales tax on the full price so a few extra dollars charged there. post #26 of 471 Have you thought about staggering them like this:

Put two on the outside in front and the lazy boy in the middle? The riser is a big issue for me I have a Soffit that only has about 2 inches of clearance above my head where the 2nd row would be due to an i-beam and some HVAC trunks. If I do it this way, it will give me a 3.5' aisle in the center for the 1st row and about 2x 2ft aisles on the sides of the 2nd row if I am able to remove one center arm of the 2nd row. Though I have no idea how it would look. post #27 of 471 The recliner is plugged in at my Costco, so I was able to try the power recline. More often than not, the recliners are not plugged in when I saw them at Costco. I think the instant rebate is how Costco does its 'sale.' AFAIK, the rebate is limited by funds available from the vendor so it may expire sooner than 12/13 if Costco sells a lot of them. IIRC, even when Costco has regular leather recliners in store, they are usually $499.99 ( all leather with manual recline or leather match with power recline).

They would be $399.99 when on sale. I will be using the recliners in my family room so I am glad they also look like regular reclining armchair and not just home theater seats. There is no way I will pay $700 per HT seating for my family room. post #28 of 471 That is an interesting idea. I wonder how much width is saved by taking an arm off. I don't have much headroom either. My basement ceiling height is only 79" or so. My riser will not be for standing on. Since I am the only one in the space most of the time, I definitely want the prime listening position centered. I have thought about buying just one and using 2 Ikea Poang chairs on either side. The Ikea chairs are what I have now. I need seating for at least 6. I have 3 counter height director's chairs for my 3rd row. post #29 of 471 I like the Poang chairs, though would like to recline more. I think I will push two to the side and keep two in the middle most of the time in the L config, but move to the -__- config when ee have guests.
