You no longer have to kill a king to sit on the Iron Throne. Uber is teaming up with HBO Now to bring Game of Thrones' most coveted real estate to fans in New York. There are two options for those partaking in #RideOfThrones, which is available Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Riders selecting the Throne option will have a truck carting a replica of the throne delivered for a photo op. Sorry — there's no cruising around New York on it. Riders can also select a pedicab ride, which is limited to 30 minutes in Manhattan between 14th Street and 59th Street. Both options are free, and Uber says it'll arrive in minutes. The Hollywood Reporter borrowed an intern from sister publication Billboard to test out process. Competition was nearly as stiff for the Iron Throne in the app as in real life. During an hour of waiting, no Throne ride popped up as an option (they were all busy), but after about 30 minutes a pedicab option appeared and was quickly selected. The driver Josh, was a retired physics teacher said it had been "non-stop all day."

He and the other drivers met at 9:30 a.m. for a big photoshoot, and beginning at 11:00 he'd been fielding calls. A lot of fans liked to be driven through Manhattan while humming the Game of Thrones theme. Multiple people spoke to him in character the entire time, with a woman going as Daenerys perfectly channeling the Mother of Dragons. People have been sharing their photos. Check them out below, and stay tuned to The Live Feed for much more from Game of Thrones. Seize the Iron Throne. Enter code THRONERIDES in your @UBER_NYC app to bring #GoT to you. — Game Of Thrones (@GameOfThrones) April 16, 2015 A lucky #GoT fan has usurped the Iron Throne. Download the Uber app to schedule a free Game of Thrones pedicab ride. — Manhattan Rickshaw (@manhattanrick) April 16, 2015 Spotted the UBER Game of Thrones pedicab a block from my office. — Peter Pugliese (@pjpugliese) April 16, 2015 I found the throne, now I must find the dragons!! — HayleyPhoel (@hayleyphoel) April 16, 2015

While you have to wait until Sunday for the first episode of Game of Thrones season three, you can check out more than 70 original artifacts from the hit HBO show right here in New York City. Starting today and running through next Wednesday, April 3rd, the pop up "Game of Thrones: The Exhibition" is open to the public in a storefront on 57th between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. The exhibition is completely free—though we imagine waiting in the inevitable long lines might be more tedious than crossing the Red Waste—and contains Daenerys Targaryen's dragon eggs, the Stark Family's Winterfell costumes, and assorted weapons ("Ice" and "Longclaw," ofco), crowns and other props. We got to check out the exhibition at a press preview last night and certainly had a great time—though the open bar and cast member appearances probably helped (more on that later). The costumes and props are interesting to look at but we wish some more details had been available about how they were designed or which episodes or seasons they were used in.

There's also the somewhat lame "Blackwater Bay Interactive Experience," a virtual video game where you grab Bronn's bow and light the wildfire to set Stannis Baratheon's ships aflame as they arrive to sack King's Landing. As one staffer pointed out, "It's kind of like Duck Hunt…only easier." The crowning jewel of the exhibit, however, is getting to sit on the motherfucking Iron Throne bitches hell yeah! Even casual Game of Thrones geeks are going to feel like total badasses getting their pictures taken on the throne, and best of all, they'll print out a hard copy for you right there so you can frame it and put it on your desk at work. You can also email yourself a copy for requisite Facebook/Instagram bragging. Game of Thrones: The Exhibition is open March 28th through April 3rd at 3 West 57th Street. Weekdays 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.New Yorkers: Spring is coming — and so is the Iron Throne. Uber has teamed up with HBO Now to celebrate the new stand-alone streaming service, which provides TV viewers access to HBO content, including the hit drama “Game of Thrones.”

For those who’ve dreamed of taking over the Iron Throne from the warring clans of Westeros, they have the opportunity to do just that with Uber’s #RideofThrones experience. New York Daily News employees line up to take a photo on the Iron Throne from HBO's "Game of Thrones" outside of the New York Daily News office. New York Daily News Senior Network Engineer Kelly Cobilich takes a photo on the Iron Throne. Daily News Lead Front End Engineer Wissam Abyad takes his seat. Daily News Web Designer Jenna Bouchard sits back for her photo op. A screen shot of the Uber app shows how fans can request a visit from the Iron Throne truck and pedicab. Taking place in Midtown Manhattan on Thursday and Friday, fans can summon the Iron Throne using the Uber app in two ways: They can request a visit from the throne encased in a glass truck (think of it as the Throne-mobile), or ask for a ride from a throne pedicab. Here’s how it works: When Uber users enter the promotion code “ThroneRides” in the Uber app, the HBO Now option will appear as an additional car selection.

#/7EWMi3hFj8— Colin DeVries (@colin_devries) April 15, 2015 Riders can either choose “THRONE” to take photos with the throne in the glass truck or “PEDICAB” for a ride in the throne pedicab. Multiple Throne-mobiles and pedicabs will be reigning over Manhattan between 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the radius of 14th to 59th Sts. and Lexington to 9th Ave. (this includes both pick-up and drop-off). Fans are encouraged to share their photos with the throne on social media using the hashtags #RIDEOFTHRONES and #GETHBONOW. /oUq4r6U9Mk— Nicole Lyn Pesce (@PesceNic) April 15, 2015 Off with their heads! Just because I'm not into to the show doesn't mean I'll pass on the opportunity to sit on a throne. #Royalty #King #RideOfThrones #GoT A photo posted by Alejandro Alba (@mralexalba) on Apr 15, 2015 at 7:48am PDT Adrian of the house of Lamister. #/t5nLKJ7U0l— Adrian Lam (@NYDNLam) April 15, 2015 /RBby5cf1Eg— Laura Thompson (@wawawomp) April 15, 2015 #/BqMUOGR8vt— Candice Watson (@candicewats10) April 15, 2015
