Product Warranty: For warranty information about this product, please Music will sound its best with ACDelco GM Original Equipment Car Speakers, and are GM-recommended replacements for your vehicle’s original components. Speakers turn electrical energy into mechanical energy to move air, using a permanent magnet and an electromagnet. The electromagnet is energized when the radio or amplifier (if equipped) delivers current to the voice coil on the speaker. The voice coil will form a north and south pole that will cause the voice coil and the speaker cone to move in relation to the permanent magnet. The current delivered to the car speaker is rapidly changing alternating current (A/C). This causes the speaker cone to move in two directions, producing sound. These original equipment car speakers have been manufactured to fit your specific GM vehicle, providing the same performance, durability, and service life you expect from General Motors. GM Original Equipment (OE) GM OE parts replace those installed during the production of a GM vehicle and are designed to meet or exceed original-equipment specifications.

ACDelco has a portfolio of more than 33,000 GM OE parts that fall into this category. The Professional category of high-quality aftermarket auto parts and products covers most GM vehicles as well as many other makes and models (varies by product line). Most of the current ACDelco line falls into this category, which is a high-quality alternative to GM OE products. Advantage products and auto parts offer fit, form and function for most make sand models similar to GM OE, but at a more attractive price. This provides a competitively priced, quality alternative to unbranded aftermarket components. For some parts, we also offer a Specialty line of auto parts. These products are designed to meet a specific need for a narrow audience – such as Performance brake products, which are rotors and friction designed for police vehicles. 5 star80%4 star10%3 star3%2 star1%1 star6%See all verified purchase reviewsTop Customer ReviewsExcellent product just as described.Sound great but not recommended!

They're the ones that have the biggest effect on what you hear when you're in the front seat of the vehicle, so that makes a lot of sense. This particularly applies to the 2001 Chevy Tahoe, with its 6-1/2 inch speakers installed in the front doors. Although the speakers are mounted behind the front door panels, you can remove the panels, access the speakers and replace them using only simple hand tools.

Pry off the triangular sail panel at the front, upper edge of the door panel with a panel removal tool. Use the panel removal tool to pry out the switch panel in the door then disconnect the wiring plugged underneath the panel. Remove the 7 mm screw from the area underneath the panel with a 7 mm socket and ratchet. Pry out the trim from behind the door release panel with the panel tool. Remove the 7 mm screw from the area behind the door's grab handle with the 7 mm socket and ratchet. Lift the door panel straight up and off of the door. Unscrew the four Phillips head screws on the perimeter of the speaker with a Phillips head screwdriver. Remove the speaker and disconnect the speaker wire plug on the back. Connect the speaker wire plug to the new speaker. Place the speaker into the door opening and secure it in place with the Phillips head screws. Test the speaker then replace the door panel. Replace the speaker in the other door and the speakers in the rear using the same method.
