The high quality craftsmanship can be seen in the shape of the frame and luxuriousness of the materials. The solid walnut wood frame is a mixture of clean lines and sculptural curves. The slight incline of the backrest promotes relaxation while a softly cushioned seat ensures optimal comfort. Upholstered in fine cashmere, the chair is available in black, red or light grey. Use one as a reading chair in a bedroom or office, or place two opposite a sofa for a stylish living space. The story behind the Finn Juhl No. 45 Chair Finn Juhl broke tradition with his No. 45 Chair by fully exposing the organic shapes of the wooden frame.

The result was a distinctive and elegant easy chair that was completely unique from previous models. Unlike many of his contemporaries Finn Juhl had a passion for the extravagant and luxurious. This was to become Finn Juhl's signature style and has contributed to his success as an international designer. The Finn Juhl No.45 Chair created a buzz when it was introduced at the 1945 Cabinetmakers' Guild exhibition, and has continued to captivate audiences ever since. Described as the 'mother of modern chairs', the chair is a Danish masterpiece of furniture design. WHY BUY FROM US? Finn Juhl was the first Danish furniture designer to receive international recognition. He studied architecture with a Danish architect, Vilhelm Lauritzen and graduated from the Royal Academy in Copenhagen. As a furniture designer he was self-taught, something that he always emphasized. Juhl designed his first piece of furniture in the late 1930s. Mainly pieces for himself but after setting up his own office in 1945 he soon became known for creating unusual, expressive and sculptural pieces of furniture.
