I made a standard chair (literally, nothing fancy but could be enhanced.) Step 2: Using the 2x4's create the back, arms, legs, and seat of the chair (simple enough so if you need some more detail... e-mail me, this photo should do though.) Step 3: To go the cheap way... use the chicken wire and staple two layers on the backThis will add more support and give it a different look. Step 4: Now, take the blue smerf pipe, using a heat gun, bend the pipe to give a 'U' Step 5: Using the clamp light, feed the cord thorough the pipe (I had to cut the plug and then attach it again with wire crimps.) Step 6: Attach one end of the pipe to the back of the chair with a pipe clamp (little
'U' shaped strap, found in the electrical department of any home improvement center.) Step 7: Pulling the lamp wire tight so that the light is held by the pipe, staple it tight and run it down the back of the chair. Step 8: Unpack the egg strobe from the box and install it... it is easier to set the speed now (kind of slow, not too fast.) Step 9: Stuff the costume (your choice, either bright orange jumpsuit or a striped prisoner outfit) with some (a lot of) plastic bags or your stuffing of choice. Step 10: To save time, stuff his upper body with a couple of pillows and his arms withUse leather straps to tie down his arms and add feet and hands... and you are done!!! Step 11: For his face I picked up a scary looking mask from Target and wrapped it around an old Soccer ball that I stoped using a long time ago. Then I attached the ball to the back of the chair with a couple of screws. Now, just add some sound effects and turn on the strobe and you're all done.

For the present day idea, instead of a school teacher he can be working in an American diner, we have thought of American style diners/restaurants to fit in with the themes.
Possible places are TGI’s, New Orleans in the Guilford area.

Unique selling point
The opening sequence gives a lot of suspense to the rest of the story (how has he got to modern times, how did he survive and most importantly what is he doing now?
This sequence will differ hugely, as it shows the present, and past and also two different generations (old and new). Will appreciate this film. Due to the range of time period.
By using a legitimate method of execution we are incorporating aspects of reality to the typical thriller conventions.
Electric chair, consisting of arm, legs and chest strapped up with leather straps. Convict suit of main character, prison guards outfits and priest. Second scene- set design and props.
American diner theme, retro café based in America.
Possibly a bar, bright neon lights, machines, bright, neon visuals.

Shot list
First shot - establishing shot , this classic contemporized shot will give us a gorgeous view of the initial eye catcher which will be the electric chair . This shot will be taken inside the studio. And we want it to be taken down a corridor looking into an open room with just an electric chair in it and of course all the necessary equipment for the execution.
Second shot- tracking shot, this shot is going to help us as it will track into Darius’s (jakes) eyes, This means that as well as not needing a lot of acting on Jakes behalf but it also confuses that audience due to whether or not Darius is dead as when the screen goes blank we go back to his eyes and we are in a completely different place and era. This will be part of the thriller aspect of RESURGENCE.
Third Shot- Tracking shot 2, we are reversing the initial zooming in and zooming out of jakes eyes, this is after Darius has been electrocuted; we will zoom out of the eyes and be in a totally different location in modern days.
