EFT - Emotional Freedom Techniques and Chiropractic

I have noticed recently that a number of my patients haven't ever heard of EFT (aka the Emotional Freedom Techniques). Perhaps that they had seen the acronym on the side bar of my newsletter but never inquired further. Others are conscious of my lady Alina is only one of a few certified trainers of EFT on earth with Dawson Church, director and EFT Universe, one of the three most primary certifying organizations. The rest of you may wonder what EFT and Chiropractic have to do with the other and how could they often be utilized in a mutually supportive way. I figured it was about time for me to answer that question.

As a chiropractor, I most often look for my patients' needs about how I can help them in lessening pain and increasing their body's function. Chiropractic has always dedicated to removing nerve interference hence the body can better heal itself. That idea goes all the way time for DD Palmer and chiropractic's inception. Coincidentally, I overheard Alina only the other day explaining EFT as an easy way of removing energy interference within the body that after present, decrease the body's capability to heal. Hmmm, how similar is? EFT can be referred to as an emotional version of acupuncture, but without needles. It is wonderful being a self-help technique that can be learned and utilized on your new, whereas chiropractic adjustments will never be self-administered.

So donna energy medicine might ask why I would ever utilize a technique that may decrease the requirement of my services? The simple answer is always that some physical issues I view as primarily mechanical, with a difficult or energetic component intertwined. Other patients present pain from stress, life patterns or behaviors which might be primarily due to past behaviors that will no longer serve them that need to be witnessed and transformed into new things. EFT is fabulous for achieving that.

To offer you a solid idea of when I use EFT, here are some examples. Recently the patient were only available in with all the recent onset of migraines, which began in the same way their husband started having panic and anxiety attacks. Another was being affected by stress and panic to the level that the he felt that his head would explode and he had the next long airplane trip and a coinciding concern with flying. Another came in with chronic back pain which he noted increased when he regarded anger of a recent marital separation. The intertwining relationship of physical ailments with emotional stresses are infinite.

Too often patients were advised that their symptoms were within their head. This was not really a complimentary diagnosis, and basically meant how the symptoms were psychosomatic, or how the physician figured the patient was "making all of it up." Psyche (mind) and Soma (physical body) are needless to say related, how could they stop? The moment you might have pain, you have a seriously considered it and then often follows an emotion, which then causes neurotransmitters to be released within the brain which then resulting in hormones developing in the bloodstream which then carries a physiological affect on items like heartrate, blood pressure, immune response, etc. So obviously our shape and psyche journey together.

So, how do I decide when you ought to placed on my chiropractic hat when do I slip on my EFT hat? There are no rules, just intuition. Sometimes, I utilize it when what I thought would assistance is not helping sufficiently. Sometimes I feel that there are something not being said in fact it is a way for someone to share with you something important that they did not feel was relevant to their presenting complaint. In any of the ways it presents, the application of EFT usually surprises me with its ease and its effectiveness.
