Dragon Ball is a Japanese popular media franchise developed by Akira Toriyama in 1984. It is this talent that is said to be his strongest weapon against evil and has been his basis for his existence in the universe. With this, Goku sets out to seek the one who can use it and defeat him. His journey will see him become the greatest fighter in the universe. In the process, he will encounter many strong opponents who are thrown into a tournament to determine who gets the right to use the Zoku Fuha, which grants some people special powers.

Dragonball has gone through several expansions since its initial release. The first was a movie released in the year 2005 that revolved around the story. The movie, Dragonball: The Origin, gave a more detailed explanation on what the Zoku Fuha is and how it is obtained. The movie has gone on to spawn four sequel films and a series of television specials and an online game as well. A spin off series of the Dragonball series was released in the year 2007.
