B&B's I have been to in the past had an en-suite and breakfast was served. 눇If your looking for a plush hi tech private room this is not for you. This is a comfortable room with a shared bathroom in the hosts house . This is comparable to staying in a friends house and our host could not have been more hospitable . These are lovely people and you are assured of a welcome . This is a Christian home and if that offends you then stay away . I am certainly not religious but nothing offended us .
Very reasonably priced and the hospitality is warming oh and I loved the shower 눉We didn't like the religious material in our room (cricifix, Virgin Mary pic, anti-abortion messages etc). We had to share a bathroom with the family - their son was rather embarrassed about walking into the bathroom while we were there. We had to make our own breakfast. No big deal but one should be aware of it before booking.눇Patrick and Melinda were very welcoming. The BnB was within five minutes of the party I was attending so it was super convenient. 눇Friendly couple, lovely bathroom 눉Would have said nothing really눇Staff and family were lovely and other guests too. Loved the feeling of peace and serenity 눉No complaints눇I felt relaxed like I do at home, friendly family who went above and beyond the call of duty 눉The description on the website did not match what you got. You shared the house with the owners. The bedroom was not 'deluxe' it was old and the bed old, the bedding was old, 2 mismatched thin towels, that I would use to dry my dog!
The room was full of religious things and a pro life card on the cork board showing an ultra sound of a baby! We were welcome to make our own breakfast but had to help ourselves to things in fridge and cupboards...we didn't eat breakfast. Their lounge room was opposite our bedroom and the male host watched TV late in the night so I used ear plugs to sleep. They were friendly people but one of the hosts was very religious and told us she went to a church where they told the truth about things people didn't want to hear such as "homosexuality is wrong" I found that highly offensive. This is a B&B I would never recommend to anyone!!!Everything was great눇Melinda and pat were very friendly and made us feel very comfortable 눉As a taller person bed was a bit small but it was comfortable. May not have booked there if I had realised it was more a homestay than B&B but a nice relaxing atmosphere Accommodation in Geelong area is very scarce at best of times눇Agree with other crits that this is a homestay rather than a B&B but friendly and comfortable and close to where I needed to be.
