Step 1: The items you will need Show All ItemsFor decades, Chevrolet has been selling high quality, dependable, and rugged pickup trucks for all types of work. Originally just the namesake for a high end trim package for the Chevy C/K pickup truck line, the Chevrolet Silverado ended up as its own pickup, replacing the C/K line in 1999. Since then it has become one of the most popular full size pickups trucks available today, blending power, comfort and luxury. The 1500 model in the Chevy Silverado line represents its half-ton truck for light-duty work purposes. Unfortunately, even the most rugged trucks like the Chevy Silverado 1500 experience wear and tear. Luckily, 1A Auto provides premium Chevy Silverado 1500 aftermarket replacement parts to replace your worn and broken OEM parts. Our Chevy Silverado 1500 parts are built to last, so you can keep your Chevy Silverado 1500 running in fine shape. We provide Chevy Silverado carpeting, mirrors, made to order headliners, carbon fiber seat heater kits, fuel injectors, exhaust manifolds, and more.

If you happen to be an enthusiastic Chevy Silverado 1500 truck owner, have a deep passion, or just want to learn more about it, continue reading below for a look at the Silverado line’s history and some fun facts. Originally built with six-cylinder and eight-cylinder engines in 1960, the C/K pickup truck line (“C” being capable of two-wheel drive and “K” being capable of four-wheel drive) was one of the most popular and best-selling truck lines in the U.S. for nearly forty years. At first, serving as just the namesake for a high-end luxury trim package for the C/K from 1975 to 1999, the Chevrolet Silverado superseded the series by becoming its own pickup in 1999 - when it won Motor Trend "Truck of the Year.” Nearly identical to the GMC Sierra, it merely differs from its sibling by being the more standard type of the two.

Known for its versatility, the Silverado could manage both heavy-duty work and casual traveling, and offered three different bed sizes: a short 5.6, a standard 6.5, and a long 8-foot bed. First built-in with a 200 horsepower 4.3-liter V6 or a 255 horsepower 4.8-liter V8, the Silverado was offered in regular and extended cabs with trims offered in Base, LT, and LS. Much of the Silverado’s success to keep loyal customers derives from its ability to offer such a wide array of customizable features, making it a more malleable and perfect truck to fit any person’s needs. Solely existing as a trim level, the Silverado made improvements in the late 1980s when it introduced the 1500 half-ton for light-duty work, and the 2500 three-quarter-ton and 3500 one-ton for heavy-duty work. All models still used “C” or “K” designations to indicate two or four-wheel drive. After replacing the C/K model line in 1999, the Silverado never ceased to change. It was bumped up by 15 horsepower and offered a rear door on the driver’s side on extended models in the next year, removed all manual transmissions by 2001, created a four-door Crew Cab model, offered the expensive Quadrasteer four wheel steering system, added the Super Sport (SS) model with a 345 horsepower 6 liter V8 engine and a gas-electric hybrid model

, and eventually offered ABS brakes, cruise control, power locks, and a CD player as a standard on all models within seven years. Today, the Silverado continues to improve. It offers a max towing of 12,000 pounds and proclaims to have great fuel-efficiency, better than any other V8 in its class, with its 5.3-liter EcoTec3 engine that can reach up to 355 horsepower. Complete with V6 or V8 Vortec and Duramax engines; regular, double, and crew cab types; WT and LT trim levels; corner steps for the cargo area; and optional heavy duty or Z71 off-road packages, the Silverado continues to excel both on and off the road.post #1 of 84 (permalink) Power Door Lock Actuator Repair ( fix your door locks for free ) Please keep an eye out for motorcycles : Look twice, it could save a life.
