Not hard to install, takes about an hour to do both. Care must be taken when removing old handles. Instructions are very detailed and if followed you will have no trouble at all.
Installation Time: Shop Install The Center Piece For Upgrading Your Inner Doors I had almost everything else modded on my '14 V6 coupe when I finally took the plunge and ordered these door handles. With every other area improved with chrome or billet pieces in my base six's interior, my ugly original black plastic door handles now stuck out like a sore thumb, so I ordered these handles! After reading the reviews and seeing the instructions, and despite installing most everything else on my baby, I chickened out and asked my mechanic to install these. There was no way I was opening up my door panels and disconnecting so many areas to install these handles. Consequently, the installation fee was somewhat high as there are so many small steps toward adding these handles. The bottom line, though, is that despite paying a small fortune for these handles (yes, they are pricey) and a medium fortune (ouch!) to have them installed, they look excellent and I am completely pleased with them!
My interior now looks "complete" with enough well balanced shiny areas to make my otherwise overly plain jane base interior look 1,000 better! Yes, I recommend these handles. You may have to smash your piggy bank to buy and install them, but they are worth it! Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour The door handles added the extra bling that I was looking for on the interior of my Mustang GT the sutle style is eligant. I would recommend these for anyone serious about making their interior a step above the other Mustangs Bought for my husband's birthday, he loved them! Great look, definite upgrade from the plastic, metal looking & cheap factory installed ones. Stylish and Well Designed I bought these door handles to help brighten up my interior and was not disappointed. They're so much nicer looking than the dull looking stock ones. They also compliment my interior so well that I bought a few more chrome-finished billet aluminum interior pieces to match. American Muscle has always sold great products and this was no exception.
Don't forget my Calendar ;-) !! Chrome interior door handlesInstall is a bit time consuming as the inner door must be removed. Pain to Install but looks good. Having not torn down the door panels before it was a pain, especially the last step to push the handle assembly out "significant force" was right. Also had a little trouble on the driver's side when I put in the plastic cap into the handle assembly the handle "clicked" because the handle was 2-3mm too big or the plastic didnt fit back in correctly, had to file the plastic cap down slightly. All that aside, it looks great. Much better than the cheap plastic. Door Handles look great! Installation took about an hour on the first one and about 45 min. on the 2nd. The latch release cables are a little tricky to get off without stretching them, but of course can be done with patience. I printed out the installation instructions and laid them on the seat to refer to for each step. I have bought several items from AM and everything always fits and works. What more can we ask! Chrome Billet Door Handles I love the look of these handles and in a convertible they show well along with the other chrome improvements made to the interior. I have had the doors apart before so the install was relatively easy as long as you take your time. These handles are fantastic, they changed the whole look of the door panel. If you have never taken a door panel off, I recomend you have them Installed. It Is worth It. The handles look very nice was very happy with the way they sported up my mustang Set your S197 from all the rest by adding chrome to brighten the dull interior up.
