This content will open in a overlay My husband and I rented this house over the Christmas holiday. It was extremely well-stocked with whatever you might need in the kitchen and lots of games and puzzles for hanging out. Beach access was very easy, and the neighborhood was quiet, given the time of year. It was also just right for bringing the dogs along--there is a backyard bordered by woods for easy potty breaks, and the sofas have removable pet covers for snuggling a puppy when you want to. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that 2 of the 3 beds were uncomfortable (I didn't try the twin bed), so I couldn't sleep well. The master bed problem would be an easy fix (sheets too small, so you wake up knotted in them). The mattress on the double bed in the second bedroom was not supported by the frame, but a new support slat would probably fix that too. I suspect the owners have fixed these problems already. Overall, it was a nice house, and we had a good time. Incredible yet Quiet, Abundantly-Stocked Home near the shore in Clinton!!!
From start to finish, we were taken care of! Not only did Mary of "two sisters" call me at 11 PM, almost immediately after I inquired about their property, but she was extremely helpful and so loving, that we will go back to this house every year! It was abundantly stocked with everything I could've needed or asked for! From the kitchen, to games for my son, to the garage with bikes to use and a Weber Grill, we didn't want to leave! My husband was a happy man! The neighbors even helped out lending us a pack n play & booster seat until brand new ones arrived at our doorstep, delivered by the lovely, Meg! Thank you & bless you all for a wonderful, relaxing & beautiful stay at the beach! We had a great time on our private beach We actually stayed for a few weeks in July of 2015. 100 steps from the beach is great and having a house with all the amenities is a plus. There wasn't one item that we needed to bring to the house and even a couple I never would of thought of having.
The yard is dotted with berry bushes and vegetables that we enjoyed throughout the few weeks we were there. It was also nice to have access to kayaks and a row boat. Most beach houses restrict parking to a car or two. On days we had guests this house allowed for several cars. The only improvement that could be made would be an outside shower (not a necessity but a nice touch in a summer home experience). Ideal for a relaxing getaway When you step into this home, you know it's time to relax. The atmosphere is one of calm, slow pace and it is like you are stepping back to when you could switch off!. The surrounding trees, the marshes, the private beach across the road and the leisurely strolls all add to making this a great neighbourhood for a vacation. it is very well equipped with all you need to enjoy your stay. A very nice touch is how everyone ensures the store cupboard supplies (olive oil, condiments as well as kitchen, bathroom and general handy bits) are always topped up - a credit to all.
The house is very clean and was well presented for our arrival. The area is very convenient to lots of shopping, nice little towns, is easy to get to - while still being 'tucked-away' nicely in its lovely location. We had no issues, but Meg (the Property Manager) is close by and makes your arrival and departure very convenient and stress free. I'd recommend this as one of the best properties we've rented - and we hope to get back again. A very comfortable experience. This is NOT a five star hotel. That being said, it was exactly what I was expecting - a 50's era shore cottage. There have been some obvious upgrades to bring it into the 21st century, but its charm is in what was unchanged. We arrived at a clean and neat home, with an easy way to relax from a long drive. The owners provide many more amenities than expected, and every effort is made for comfort. We had no occasion to use the many beach related items provided, but we did get to barbecue and have a nice fire in the fire pit in the back yard on the first day of our stay.
