Small, multifunctional and perfectly styled | Josefin Hååg’s apartment on sale Last time I talked here how much I loved My Residence bookazine and one of my favorite interiors from there was definitely a little apartment of Josefin Hååg and her wife. So today when I saw on Josefin’s Instagram feed that their apartment is on sale via Fantastic Frank I immediately clicked over there to see the latest photos of this lovely home.
The whole apartment is only 20 m2, but it is very well planned and every square meter is used to maximum. Large window in combination with white walls and white-washed herringbone floor makes this little space airy and light and let’s it show larger than it actually is. I just love the color palette used – monochrome with some warm brown and neutrals gives this apartment really cozy feel. As Josefin is one really talented stylist it’s no wonder that this space is also styled to perfection! If there was only one thing I could highlight it would be the way how she has displayed art on the walls (I have featured it also in this picture wall inspiration post). I have shared photos of Josefin’s apartment before here – there have been some changes in decorating and styling since then, both versions look stunning if you ask me! //photos from Fantastic Frank // Contrasting minimalist kitchen cabinets These minimalist dark wooden kitchen cabinets create beautiful contrast in this otherwise white kitchen.

The first apartment (which is styled by Lotta Agaton) is a home of Nadja Mini Helminen. Its all white base is a great backdrop for darker furniture pieces and shows beautifully all the architectural elements of this apartment. The second interior is decorated in darker and muted hues and it looks like a cozy nest for cold winter months. It’s a good example that Scandinavian style doesn’t always have to be only black and white. I was waiting for the first snow to get that right spirit for Christmas preparations, but I can’t wait any longer… For me decorating our home for Christmas means bringing some green branches inside, adding some extra candles and of course Christmas tree, which will be brought home some days before Christmas. Baking gingerbread cookies, listening to Christmas carols and wrapping those carefully chosen presents for the dearest are definitely also in my Christmas list. // photos and styling by me // Natural simplicity in a new apartment near Stockholm This new 3 room apartment in a small town near Stockholm is a beautiful example of natural and simple Scandinavian interior design. It’s decorated in calm tones: white and grey base with blue and green details. Some oak wood and rattan pieces together with linen and woolen textiles are timeless and add texture and warmth. Love the combination of white simple kitchen cabinets, modern Normann Copenhagen Bell pendant and timeless Gervasoni oak wood Gray chairs.

Love how welcoming and cozy it feels – Josefin has again done an amazing job with styling! It’s located in a new Biografen building in Stockholm, but looking those photos it feels so lived-in and has many layers of details that new homes sometimes lack. The whole home feels really light and fresh with lots of white and soft colors used throughout the house.

Peonies (especially white ones!) are definitely one of my favourites for decorating – they look beautiful and smell heavenly… Monochrome Scandinavian style kids room In the baby news post earlier this week I promised to show you our nursery and here it is. Actually it is the room of our 2 year old son Tobias (baby Oskar is currently sharing a bedroom with us) and I don’t know if it’s right to call it a nursery – it’s something in between a nursery and a big boy’s room. It’s still work in progress, for example we are looking for a bigger bed right now and a reading corner is still waiting decorating. But this is how it looks right now. (Ok, I have to admit, it’s not looking quite the same at the moment, I did some styling before taking photos and with a two year old playing and using his room it won’t look that way for long…)
For these photos I styled the room to look more monochrome than it actually is as I love monochrome Scandinavian style kids rooms, but I know that in reality it’s quite hard to keep it that way. To be honest, I don’t think a kids room should be that monochrome and organised at all – some mismatching colours and details are actually quite cute if they represent that little human who lives there with all of his interests and preferences and toys :) However, I like to keep the background simple and light so that the overall look of the room won’t be too busy for the eye. That’s why I have chosen black and white textiles for the room. This cute and fun bedding is a Zero to Hero duvet set from Frankie and Frenchie (who I introduced you here). I love it and so does Tobias! It’s really soft material, it has quirky design and as a bonus it’s made from organic cotton! Another detail that Tobias love’s in his room is a Miniwilla Mr. Agent poster from The Poster Club.
