Modern High Chair BabyStylish High ChairModern Baby GearBaby High ChairModern Baby RoomNursery ModernModern NurseriesOvo High ChairHight ChairForwardGreat review of high chairs. We loved the handed down wooden one but he didn't fit in it forever. My favorite that we used was the ikea high chair. But I love all of them on this listSpanish designers CuldeSac have designed this high-chair with removable legs and accessories so that it's still useful when the child starts to grow. The Ovo high chair for baby equipment brand Micuna has a wipe-clean seat, tray and footrest. The tray, bars and leg extensions can all be removed as the child grows to let them sit with adults at the dinner table. Other high chairs designed to change with your child include the classic 1972 Tripp Trapp chair by Peter Opsvik and Maartje Steenkamp's 2003 version for Droog where consumers saw off the legs as the child grows, but Dezeen is too young to have featured either. See all the stories we have published about childrens' furniture here and more projects by CuldeSac here.

The information below is from the designers: CuldeSacTM explores a new language for Micuna’s Ovo high chair CuldeSac's team grows not only in number, but also in responsibility and in commitment to the environment, family and friends. New personal realities bring new challenges to improve our daily adventures and the human experience behind them. More and more, today’s families live in open multifunctional spaces where everything is in sight. Design is the perfect tool to combine form and content, aesthetics and functionality... But then there are kids, flooding every space with a thousand and one daily survival pieces conceived for parents, designed for children. With Micuna’s Ovo high chair, CuldeSac chose to delve deep into the language of children’s furniture and translate it to the living spaces of today. The Ovo high chair is able to live among children and grown-ups not requiring to be removed after use thanks to its adaptability to any design environment.

Once the aesthetic aspects are resolved, the high chair also reaches the functional demands of all-terrein pieces: washable fabric, baby reins, adjustable tray and footrest. Furthermore, the Ovo high chair adds an emotional ingredient: its accessories and legs easily adapt to the child’s own growth and take with them their first steps into that other big adventure: growing-up. OVO Highchair Textile White You have been looking atDon’t get us wrong, we have nothing against peachy pinks or baby blues, but your wedding day certainly isn’t the only major life event to be plagued by (perhaps too many) pastels. The only difference is that weddings are, by nature, adult while the arrival of a little one often triggers cuteness overload–whether we like it or not. Many of us want baby decor, accessories, and furniture that fit in as stylistic features of our homes, but we’re bombarded with frilly, bowed bassinets that may not necessarily be our jam . Plus, odds are your tot won’t even remember their nursery decor, so besides providing a comforting, stimulating environment for the wee one, isn’t all this stuff primarily catering to us anyways?

Want baby-wears with an adult taste level? It’s all about balance.  No need to go all neutral à  la North West (allegedly). We’ve collected some items in the gallery above that combine ultra-modern colors, materials, and other design elements to please papa and mama while keeping things peanut appropriate. One of the perks of many of these high-design, contemporary baby items is their gender neutrality. This is a major plus if you don’t yet know your baby’s sex or are just trying to keep things gender neutral in general. Either way, feel free to stock up pre-stork! Items are available for purchase through the links provided below (hurry though, they’re selling out quickly!) With every year passing by, the limits and boundaries in visual arts transform significantly such that there’s always something new and ultra cool to grasp everybody’s attention.Highlights of the design week include items especially designed for… babies. Contrary to modern popular belief, people still do want to get married and have kids! And, according to statistics, the crawling little sugar pies are nothing short of becoming one of the most sought after target publics. So, we have babies on one hand, and design on the other. Hence, when two design junkies decide to accept each other in sickness and in health, and go on about having a child, one of the following is bound to happen:a. will give the baby the name of a famous artist/ designer/ crazy genius;b. will acquire the all latest trendy items for decorating and baby-proofing the house;c. will be so sucked into their happiness and bliss that will forget about everything else and will be faced with a crisis situation on Day 0: on what is the baby soon going to sit whilst eating?

Ah, luckily enough for these guys, at the Design Week, the design team from the Culdesac studio showcased the ‘Ovo High Chair’ which they created for the Spanish baby furniture brand Micuna. The high chair is, of course, an absolute must for all parents. The one developed by Alberto Martinez and Pepe Garcia, however, is a must just for design aficionados. Who else could appreciate the lusciousness of polypropylene combined with the finest wooden legs and smooth, shiny finishes? The attachment system of the tray is not only original and convenient, but also aesthetically appealing. The chair is equipped with baby reins and footrest in order to ensure the best support and an increased level of comfort. All materials employed were carefully chosen, bearing in mind the needs of both the baby and parents (fabrics are washable etc.). As for the looks, the Ovo Chair slightly resembles an egg and it somehow manages to look cute instead of rigid and stiff like most high chairs; the chair’s rounded edges and soft cushion enhance its appeal as comfortable.
