Quality surface material and quilting but the side material is very weak and seems as though it will rip easily. I had to be careful putting it on. Fits my extra deep mattress nicely. Initially good, fell apart Ripped after first wash, and does not keep out wet. This is so soft! Lovely smooth fabric on the top and generous super stretchy sides make this a winner for deeper mattresses. I have it on a thinner and it wraps well around to the underside so no fit is lost.
The only reason it is four stars is that the stuffing isn't as tacked down with quilting as I would like so my fear of shifting over time means I will probably need to add some additional stitching myself. That being said, I've not experienced any in the three weeks I've used it so far and it is a wonderfully decadent feeling mattress pad. Being waterproof, it is a tad warm but I wanted a mattress pad to protect my mattress! Ordered 3 of the mattress pads for twin beds for grands. The mattress is soft and these pads add to the overall soft feel. Followed wash/dry instructions and the pads held up great after first cleaning. Will update after more washings. Fit couldn't be better. Very high quality, waterproof, great for protecting the new mattress investment.
