I try again and it does the same. Sometimes it will go 2 or 3 feet then stop. But it never continues from up all the way to down. I can hold the down button and it will do the same. This won't won't have every detail but should be enough for you to search on how to do some things like make virtual switches for smartthings.-create a virtual switch on the smartthings ide website. Not that hard to do. Google how to do it. /t/faq-creating-a-virtual-device/11282- create 2 routines on the ST app. One routine opens the garage door, the other closes it.- go to marketplace in St app, go to smart apps. Under lights and switches category Download the smart app called "switch activates home phrase".-in that app there's 3 options. Select the virtual switch you made as the switch. Under "switch on" choose the routine you made to open the garage door. Under "switch off" choose the routine that closes the garage door.- in Alexa app discover new devices. Might have to Google how to do that since it can be a pain to add devices once it's set up. Then create a group called "garage door". Add the virtual switch to that group.- done. Now when you say "Alexa open garage door" it turns on the virtual switch which will run the routine that opens the garage door.
