About this group An online community created to foster support, networking, and social connections amongst black expats and wanderers, from across the globe, living in or interested in living in Istanbul, Turkey.
From the bustling metropolis of Istanbul to the rocky wonders of Cappadocia, and finally the serene beauty of Kaş, my travels in Turkey were a rich tapestry of experiences, emotions, and revelations. Each city, every face, and every interaction adds a new shade, a new texture to my narrative of being a black woman in this mesmerizing land.

Our surname - Черноусовы - translates from Russian as BlackMustache. We left Russia at the beginning of the war, fearing repression, isolation, mobilization and martial law. We were at a loss for a while, but in the summer we decided to do what we could and opened a bookstore on design and art in Istanbul on the Anatolian side.
