When my friends and I found a spacious Wyndham at a value price, we were ecstatic! The room was clean, and there was enough space for everyone. We were excited about the kitchen, hoping to cut the costs of expensive Park options. The service was cordial at best, but smooth. My only two complaints were the distance from Disney Parks and the beds.Location: The location was OK, but proved to be a little far when we were exhausted after our nights in the park. It's great if you're hopping between Disney and Universal though!The Beds: they were atrocious. Our backs hurt after two nights of our stay. This was the ultimate factor in the 3 star rating. We had 2 adults and 2 children for 5 days.
The rooms are run down and furniture in disrepair. The fitness center is a closet and the staff less than friendly. This experience has left a very poor impression of Wyndham in general though their other properties are quite nice. We will avoid Wyndham in the future. Yes, the condos are spacious, however, these mattresses are the worst. I thought a 2 bedroom would be perfect for 5 of us with the sleeper sofa, but it was so bad I couldn't let my son use it. The bedroom mattress make so much noise and are so uncomfortable that I don't think it's worth it. It has me wondering whether it's true that they give guests who book with great deals the outdated rooms. We just stayed this past week, family of 5. We had a 3bed 2 bath, the location was very central to all the Orlando attractions. We were very pleased with the room, clean, comfortable bedding, fully stocked kitchen. Security at the gate. We will definitely stay again. Very quiet as well. Our room had a great screened porch.
Room Tip: Building 4 on 4th floor, was quiet. We are a family of 6 (2 adults, 1 senior, 2 children, 9y & 11y and 1 teenager). We spent 3 weeks at Caribe Cove for our December holidays and loved it. The resort is beautiful, clean, manicured gardens, with everything: heated pool and Jacuzzi, gym, mini mart, free DVD rental, free parking for more than one car, free coffee at the clubhouse! No extra charge to receive parcels and all the staff is polite and so nice, always smiling and helpful. We stayed in apartment 5305, it's all renovated, with new carpets, new TV's, the kitchen is equipped with huge fridge, microwave, oven, toaster, coffee machine and dish washer. The laundry has washing machine & dryer. They provide toiletries and soap for all the machines, which will last you 2 or 3 uses. Then you need get your own (the Dollar Store is 3 minutes away). The master bedroom is huge with a king bed and TV, the suite has a big bath and a separated shower, two sinks, big mirrors and hairdryer.
The kids room has 2 single beds, the 3rd room has a queen bed and TV and a shared toilet, with a small bath and a separated shower. The living/dining room has a sofa bed, dining table and a big TV. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby: Walmart, Publix, my favourite: Target, Ross, Walgreens. Most of the days we had dinner at home but we went to Bahama Breeze one evening for some Caribbean food and Longhorn for steak dinner. It's all on the main road, just minutes drive from the resort. There is also a Cici's nearby, which is a choice for cheap & fast dinner with kids. We hit the parks almost every day, the resort is 15 minutes from Disney's parks, 20 minutes from Universal Studios, 25 minutes from International Drive. Our favourite outlet mall is the Premium Outlets Vineland, much better choice of stores but as full as the one at International Drive. We also went to Pirate’s Dinner and Medieval Times, the family enjoyed the horses and fighting more. If your family has a baby, the apartment also has a baby cot and a high chair.
The 3-bedroom apartment can accommodate 8 people. Room Tip: Apartment 5305 is at the end of the resort, very quiet and has a pond on the back. We visit the Kissimmee area once or twice a year, but had never stayed at Caribe Cove Resort. We were impressed by the friendliness and customer care and concern from the moment we arrived. My family had a very pleasant stay and I, an unusual experience at the resort in November, 2016, that surpassed even the five star resorts we've visited in the area. I have a handicap from a Stroke I had a year ago, coming back from a day at the Disney Parks loaded down with packages and balloons, on getting out of the car, I unknowingly dropped my wallet in the parking lot at the resort.Early the following morning, I got a phone call from the office informing me that they had my wallet and I could pick it up. Even more so when I received it with nothing missing!! Credit Cards, money, all there! We've been telling all of our friends and acquaintances about our experience there.
