DHP The Tokyo Metal Frame Daybed and Trundle, Twin, Brown "Very nice, just as shown." - By DHP Victoria Full Size Metal Daybed, White "Very Sturdy, Excellent Looking Bed!" - By I got this bed with some apprehensions at first, since other metal daybeds that I had seen in the store were flimsy and very shaky when climbing in and out of the bed. This bed is ROCK SOLID and sturdy, thanks to the cross bracing and the 20 bed frame mattress slats that run perpendicular to the head/foot boards. The only issue is the stainless steel hardware (bolts and washers) that connect the head/foot boards to the bed posts because they are visible and stand out against the white bed frame. I was prepared for this (from reading other reviews) and this was quickly solved with can of Krylon white semi-gloss quick dry spray paint. Although it is a bit on the heavy side, once I got all the components sorted I was able to assemble it all by myself in under 20 minutes. Make sure to assemble it on carpeted or covered surface so you do not scratch the powdercoated surface. The quality of the materials is "good" - not outstanding - but everything assembled easily and enough bolts/nuts/washers were supplied. They even provide a little stamped "open-end wrench" and an Allen wrench. Once all the bolts were tightened, it seemed very sturdy. I'm not sure the welds that hold the bed support are solid enough to support a very heavy person over a long period of time - but I'm using this as an occasional guest bed and my "reading nook".I'm a bit bugged by the bolt heads that are black and exposed on the wood posts; and one of the posts has a finger-joint that's pretty obvious because the two sections ... full review

The price was certainly fair. I was concerned about the shipping process from Amazon.They used a ground carrier. During checkout you pick your time window (I picked the next available Saturday from 9 to noon). The carrier is supposed to call the day before (this one never did) to confirm the appointment. I also received no email reminders from either Amazon or the carrier. Ultimately, they showed up around 12:30. Since this is a ground carrier, they bring to your door. They will not bring inside; they will not assemble.This comes in two boxes.
