The feet on the older Flex Lite chair would sometimes come off when the chair sank into the mud or soft grass. We have since addressed the issue on the this newer model.
would this chair be good for beach use as well? BAD FOR THE BEACH! Keep this chair away from any loose soil. Are the frame pieces shock-corded together (similar to a tent) or are they individual, loose pieces? There are 3 separate pieces: the frame (all one piece shockcorded together), the material seat, and the carrying case. Pop the frame pieces into place and set up upright, slip the material over the frame in 4 corners, and voila! Greatest lightweight chair ever. We like to tuck the case into the frame pieces so it doesn't blow away but is still out of the way. Does REI sell a replacement bag for the chair? REI does not sell a replacement bag for the Flex Lite Chair. Tragically I managed to get a sizable burn in the mesh of my chair. I was wondering if there would be any way to get a replacement canvas seat portion due to the fact my frame is a-okay REI does not carry replacement mesh. The bottom 2 frame supports seem to be too far apart for the seat -- I can't get the tubes into the 'pockets' on the bottom corners of the seat. Attach the bottom two corners first, then use the pull loops on the top corners to attach the top pockets to the poles. It should become easier with use. Is the difference between this and the original Flex Lite chair that the base was rotated 90 degrees? Why was this done? The base of the chair is one of the several features that is different on the new Flex Lite chair. The base was rotated 90 degrees to improve side to side stability. We have also added a storage pocket and improved the feet on the chair so they will not slide off if the chair sinks into the soft ground. Do you sell replacement feet for the older model?
