Can Someone Believe In God But Not Be Saved?

Can Someone Believe In God But Not Be Saved?

God's nature is utterly untainted by wrong; the Holy God is the creator of virtues like honesty, patience, purity, holiness, love, and much more, and this is the blueprint He followed when designing our planet.

Believe In God?

God has certain requirements for us because of who He is, not because He wants to make life hard. It is not possible for him to pursue any other path. God can't do things that are outside of His nature.
These are the fundamental laws of the universe that will never change.
The God described in the Bible made everything, including the tiny parts we can't see. Look up what the Bible says in this verse:

"I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols. (Isaiah 42:8)
For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God. (Deuteronomy 4:24)
The LORD is exalted over all the nations, his glory above the heavens. (Psalm 113:4)
Yours, LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. (1 Chronicles 29:11)
All the angels were standing around the throne...They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, (Revelation 7:11)

Most people today are only familiar with God in theory, they haven't encountered Him in reality.

God is the boss of everything, including us, and He just wants what's His. Our mission is to love Him and show it through serving Him.
God has complete power over the world, and He can shape it however He wants, even if we struggle to accept it. If we were the ones who made it, we would be able to decide what the rules are. But, as it turns out, God says:

'Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.' (Deuteronomy 6:5-6)

God could have removed the dangers out of this life, to make life easier, but only by making us all as obedient robots. But that's not what God wanted at all. God wanted beings that could express love for Him by choice.
A being something like Himself.

Allowing people to have free will means they might choose to reject you, which is a danger.

It's true, the problem with granting your created being their own free choice to choose how they live, is that they might rebel against the maker, and that is exactly what we did.
This is a problem, think about all the things we do or think or do that are wrong, this is often referred to as sin in the Bible. Doing these things completely defies God's nature and holiness, and it's like breaking the laws of the universe that He created. These mistakes have caused us to be far away from God.

'The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?'(Jeremiah 17:9)
'But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults.' (Psalm 19:12)

Remember that every bad decision you make carries a responsibility towards God that must be met.

The things we need to do for God:
'And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.' (Matthew 6:12)

God's perfect purity is being compromised by all of these things. Can you see it?
God says stealing is wrong in the Bible. Have you ever stolen something before?
According to the Bible, it is a sin to covet what belongs to someone else. Have you ever found yourself feeling envious of your friend's wife, life, belongings, or residence?
God commands that we honor our parents. Have you ever disrespected your parents by talking back to them?
It's against God's wishes to use His Name carelessly or without respect. Did you ever use God's Name in a thoughtless or irreverent manner?

God knows everything, nothing is hidden from Him. We learned that ALL the bad things need to be addressed. ALL the bad things will be evaluated at some point. Or, you could say, being at peace with the unchangeable laws of the universe. In the Bible, it's called soothing God's anger. This will come as a shock to most people, because they have been told that God loves everyone so much, It's commonly believed that God could never be angry with anyone, no matter how wrong their actions. It's common for people who lack basic knowledge to argue that God is supposed to love us regardless of our actions.
Yes, God loves the world, but we can't ignore His holiness either. No way it can happen.

Understanding the eternal nature of God is beyond reach when we impose our expectations, behavior, and earthly standards.
The Bible tells us about a God who is completely out of this world. It's pointless to make God follow our rules because that won't lead to anything real or lasting.

People sometimes wrongly accuse God for the problems in the world, but it's not His fault. The world was created without imperfections. Adam messed up and now we all make mistakes.

As it is recorded in the Bible...

'For all have sinned (done wrongs things), and do need the glory of God. wrongs' (Romans 3:23)

Doing good things and being a good person won't prevent you from facing the punishment for bad thoughts and actions. You need Jesus Christ to be saved. Simply being a good person and attending church won't secure your place in heaven. We must genuinely apologize to God and seek forgiveness for the things we've done wrong. Once we ask for forgiveness, we must live our lives fully for God.
Again, the Bible speaks of the dreadful outcomes of our wrong decisions, like ending up in hell:

'For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.' (Romans 6:23)

The Payment God Made for Your Bad Deeds

Even though we mess up, God made a way to pay for it all so we can follow His fixed laws that govern the universe.
Jesus Christ's death, burial, and resurrection were the means by which God fulfilled His glorious plan. The incredible plan was done in public, before the eyes of all creation: people, angels, and Satan. No other approach can make things right for our wrongs.

People argue that God can't be loving if He is so strict. Love is a central aspect of God's makeup., but, the Bible makes it clear that you can't have God's love without also, His terrifying justice. You need both of them together.
Our own expectations can't help us understand God's truth. We can't expect God to follow our rules because it doesn't match His nature. Your thoughts aren't hidden from God, and you can't make Him forget anything.

Allow God to Control Your Life Is Now Required

When you're truly sorry for what you've done wrong, it's common to feel a desire to live a life for God. This is what God demands of us. It's like giving God the ultimate power in our lives for the duration. We seek to follow every decree in the Bible.
The Bible indicates that's the right order of things:

'Then he said to them all: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.' (Luke 9:23)

God never communicated this message; 'To get to heaven and be with me, be a good person and do good for others.'
Here's what the Most High God has to say about getting forgiveness for your sins:

'To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable:

"Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed:'God, I thank you that I am not like other people--robbers, evildoers, adulterers--or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.'
"But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said,'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'
"I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted." (Luke 18:9-14)

The man in the story followed religion and avoided "bad" sins like murder, but God still didn't forgive him.
God forgave the tax collector despite his cheating because he repented. Admitting we were wrong and giving our lives to God is a humiliating experience. Still, if we don't surrender to God and admit our wrongs, we can't be saved from our mistakes.

Jesus Christ shared:

'He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them.
'And said, “Truly I say to you, unless you change and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.' (Matthew 18:2-3)

Simply being a good person won't settle your debt; even an exceptionally good person cannot pay it off.

'You were saved by faith in God, who treats us much better than we deserve. This is God's gift to you, and not anything you have done on your own.' (Ephesians 2:8)

Do You Want To Repent And Let Jesus Handle The Punishment For Your Wrongdoing, Or Not?

'Then he said to them all: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.' (Luke 9:23)

To follow Jesus, we must be willing to give up our own desires every day and live for Him.

The Scriptures declare that:

'Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God--this is your true and proper worship. (Romans 12:1)

'But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.' (1Peter 3:15)

In the end:

You recognize your faults and transgressions before God. You truly repent for your transgression. You submit to Jesus Christ as your boss. This is a lifelong commitment. The Bible tells us to live for God, and that's exactly what we do. Consistently read the Bible to grow in your faith. Daily conversations with God through prayer. Preaching about God to others. Doing God's work by helping others. God Most High becomes your reason for living.
We get to go to heaven with our Heavenly Father.
